Im actually saddened by this. This is really the end of an era. With Andy Reid running roughshod and bullying everybody, I was intrigued at the prospect of Belichick returning to restore order. If I was Cincinnati, I wouldve fired Taylor and hired Belichick so fast. BB would make that defense viable and have a grest.offenss led by an All Pro QB and a dominant WR. Wouldve love to have seen it. Belichick is 3-0 vs Reid in the playoffs. In the last 3 matchups against Mahomes, BB had him in a vise for the most part.
I thought he'd be a solid hire for the Giants even though brehs shouted me down in the team thread. I wouldn't have given him the keys completely but I have a ton of confidence in his football acumen and competence.

UNC has the same amount of REAL National Championships as Michigan since the 1940's if you take away the one season Michigan cheated in that will eventually have an official asterisk next to it. .
@Regular_P he doesn’t speak on our behalf

If anything Beli was inspired by what went down at Michigan :russ:

Mike Brown wouldn't come up off enough paper to pay Belichick or do football operations the way Bill would want it, in my mind. And Bill respected Mike's Dad, but it probably wouldn't have worked. But yeah, it would have been a great setup personnel and coaching wise.

Burrow and that offense with Bill would give Mahomes/Reid a run.

Aside from setting up his son to take over, I don't really see the appeal Bill would have to coach CFB. BB likes to grind and there's more restrictions on the amount of time players can practice in college. He likes to coach players who are professional in their approach to the game, there's not many 18 and 19 year old kids who look at football like that.

Other than a dad helping his kid out, it's a weird career choice.

I know college is different, especially with NIL deals and everything now, but if Belichick gives you praise, NFL front offices will listen.
Why would they give af at what Belli has to say about a player when they all think Tom Brady carried him? :gucci:

Yea, me too. This wouldve been the perfect time to finally make it happen. Maybe Belichick doesnt feel comfortable replacing one of his proteges

Totally agree with this. The investment wouldve been worth it. No way Belichick doesnt win a SB in that scenario.

Exactly. And being the historian and competitor that he is, we know that he wants to break Shula's record.
