…Kobe asked for a trade and came back and won a chip.

yes but the lakers (nor kobe) didn’t really explore the option of trading him if I recall…from what I remember the kobe shyt was a threat for the front office to get shyt done…dame had a legitimate request with a specific team in mind

A lot of Dame's issues could have been avoided it had he went the Beal route in not being so vocal in wanting out. He overplayed his hand too early.

Cronin wasn't necessarily wrong for his comments considering that Dame would have kept throwing shots about wanting to go elsewhere even if they let him stay. It would have just been delaying the inevitable like all of us kept mentioning.

How is Cronin a bytch for not letting Dame have his way? :mjlol:

Dame made it clear he wanted out - just because it turned out to be a location not of his choosing doesn’t change the fact the Blazers organization is well within its right to go with the best asset haul:mjgrin:

also fukk is he mad about? He actually gets to play for a contender :gucci: Breh acting like he got sent to the Hornets :childplease:
They turned down a better Miami deal to be spiteful. Ayton and 3 first round picks plus one of those young Heat players is a better haul. Phoenix gave the best deal for KD so Brooklyn took it. Portland went out like hoes to prove a point.

Dame has been throwing hints quietly about wanting a better situation for years. They forced his hand even though he did a bit much.

Lillard was gonna comeback to the Blazers and bullshyt like Harden did with Houston & Brooklyn until a trade to Miami was forced.

dame got good credit/equity, he never done anything in bad faith imo so i think he'd play forreal

dude isnt gonna waste the last few yrs of his prime for no reason

Define "quietly" as Dame kept bringing up wanting to leave and go elsewhere even when it wasn't the topic of conversation. He forced his own hand by bringing up Miami and ruining what leverage he did have. They didn't do it for him.

All Dame had to do was keep quiet and let the media help do his bidding to get where he wanted to go.
