We have the worse mods on the internet.. how is this not bushed?
This is not a fake report. Read the links on the first page. Respected media outlets are reporting Tennessee has offered Jon Gruden a contract worth rougly $10 mil/yr and that he is actively putting together a staff. He's reached out to other coaches. And the Tennessee Athletic Director was in Tampa last night meeting with him. This is all VERIFIED NEWS.
What I'm adding to these reports that no one is officially reporting yet (because its not gonna be made official for another 4-10 days) is the fact Gruden agreed to the contract. This won't be OFFICIALLY reported anytime soon because an announcement will not be made most likely until the end of the season. Like I said in an earlier post, this is basically Meyer to Ohio State in 2011 all over again. Meyer agreed to be the Ohio State head coach 2 weeks before it was formally announced. A media outlet reported it early and the report was denied by the AD and Meyer. Then 2 weeks later they officially announced it at a press conference.
Expect the same thing to happen here. If I had to guess, the press conference will happen November 26, 2017. The Sunday after the last game against Vandy. They'll probably announce it before the Playoff Selection Committee comes out with their final rankings for maximum media exposure.
