The idea of mass imprisonment of gang members in theory was appealing to many of us because El Salvador was the most dangerous country in Latin America and crime was reduced substantially even though we inevitably know some innocent people were being held along with those criminals.

However America loves to abuse the prison industrial complex and will incarcerate black men for the tiniest infraction so you combine Trump’s policies and Bukele’s willingness to appease Trump and you have a disaster.

America’s problems with overall crime are not really gangs but mental health and socioeconomic conditions, there is no MS13 controlling the country dealing with crime in America is different from dealing with crime in El Salvador which is a country the size of one of the tiniest states. It is not a one size fits all solution.

I will take my L I thought the bukele’s crackdown on gangs was good but this is not the outcome I wanted to see.

He is doing a great fukking job in his country :yeshrug:

Yeah it probably won't end good like all dictatorships but hopefully the good shyt he has done survives whatever comes after, they can't let the country fall back to those fukking demonic gangs.

50+ million people believe the same about Trump
Doesn’t mean it’s actually good for the people

Have no problem with it

Don’t do the crime and your ass wont be flying… over to el salvador

Have no sympathy for nikkas doing violent crime in the neighborhoods and ruining lives

Get these cacs and Latinos to

But according to the coli YOU, an innocent black man, can still be convicted. All of us innocent black men can be convicted any place, anytime.

So it doesn't matter if you're a criminal or not. :francis:

Capital punishment and death row was a good deterrent during the 90s for these super hard crashouts. The worst of the worst should be sent down there, gotta take a stand against permanent menaces to society cause it ain't working rn. People ain't scared of life in prison any more.

Yeah, that's why I'm against this. Almost every month we hear about a black man released from prison for being wrongly convicted of crimes they're innocent of. I don't trust our government when it comes to criminal justice.

We get the cops called on us for "talking loud"

nah this def ain't the move.

No, y'all are going around with trauma porn saying any innocent black man can be thrown in prison at any time.
Shameful :scust:

You really pretending as if these stories haven't happened throughout time?

Central Park 5 wasn't real?
Kalief browder wasn't real?

Why would someone who works then goes home to their family have to worry about getting wrongfully convicted?

This is trauma porn.

Innocence-Project-Client-Release_07-1024x639.jpg

Termaine Hicks was released from SCI Phoenix Prison on Dec. 16, 2020, in Collegeville, Penn. His brothers Tone Hicks and Tyron McClendon greeted him upon release. (Image: Jason E. Miczek/AP Images for the Innocence Project) Read less

Philadelphia police shot our client Termaine Hicks in the back three times in 2001, assuming that he was attacking a woman he was actually helping. Officers then covered up their mistake and Mr. Hicks spent 19 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, while the officers — who went on to be the subjects of numerous allegations of lying, planting evidence, excessive force, and substantiated complaints filed by civilians — returned to their jobs. At the Innocence Project, we are advocating for police disciplinary records, which are currently confidential in about half the states, to be made public to increase police transparency and accountability.

There are whole organizations dedicated to advocating for innocent black people who've been wrongfully convicted. Instead you're ok with them being deported to a 3rd world country to become free slave labor. "just move right". ignore a woman screaming for help. just go home. Can't believe the shyt I'm reading here

Resisting arrest?
Getting in fights at school?
Falsely accused?
Political protestors?

No one should be encouraging this because these extreme measure will only be enforced against the poor and minorities.

We already have plenty of tools to use against violent criminals. The United States locks up more of its citizens than any nation on earth. And we’re one of the few western countries that still have the death penalty.
