With that type of fear and logic then folks shouldn't drive their cars to work because traffic accidents are more likely to occur than plane crashes.

Don't know how people use fear to limit their ability to explore traveling to different countries/learn how other people live but they rather complain about inflation as well as other media hot topics.

:childplease:
People feel safer in cars because they have control for the most part even if you are correct.

The fact that you can see the very last moments of 179 people lives in a constant loop on social media is pretty wild. I know this ain’t the first disaster caught on film but jeez… you just see the plane go up in flames. All those souls. RIP to the victims
yeah back in the day shyt like this would be on Faces of Death.

I’m no Mechanic but the plane slid because the landing gear didn’t deploy.

I knew a guy who was trying to be a pilot and the first thing you have to master is how to land the plane.

They stopped the 20th hijacker because the fool wasn’t interested in learning how to land the plane so how could this be pilot error?

I said pilot error COULD be a possibility NOT is the possibility. :snoop::what:

Flaps were still UP. Flaps are supposed to be DOWN for landing.

However, i’m not blaming the pilot though as the situation coulda been stressful enough that they didn’t have time to run through their approach/landing checklist.

They're saying bird strike, but I don't get hwo that happens
Bird strikes are extremely common. Most airports have programs to keep birds away from the grounds and airspace. Remember the Hudson landing? Geese did that. Aircraft engines are susceptible to debris near the ground messing them up, that’s why planes engines are usually high up off the ground.

However here, there has to be more to it. Engine failure and flaps failure leading to a landing like this coming in this fast without gear can’t really be fully explained by a bird strike. Maybe the pilot got hit in the face by the birds? We just don’t know

Yeah I'm saying I don't get how a bird strike takes out hydraulics
