This is systematic training
It's not like they signed up to do Doordash and then two minutes later are out in the field
They went to a police academy and this is what they produced. The police academy needs to be teaching these people to have the tone of Starbucks employees
Once you go down the road of blaming this on the race of the officer you only serve to discredit yourself and reduce your argument
Systematic changes are needed
These are civil servants in service to the community, that's what we have to expect and that's what we need to demand
They are out there acting like power tyrants
Yes, he can be schooled on how to better go through a police interaction but they NEED to be schooled on congeniality and how to handle these situations without escalating them
We can't have a society calling itself "the land of the free" with people in jail because they don't like their tone
This is a quote from a famous prosecutor' "The power I have as a prosecutor is that with a swipe of my pen, I can charge someone with a misdemeanor... And by virtue of that swipe of my pen, you will have to go to a courthouse... hire an attorney... all because with the swipe of my pen, I've charged you with a crime, which I may choose to dismiss two weeks later."
The problem is this attitude pervades and runs rampant through the entire criminal justice and judicial system
