Is this all good and all but he hasn't won a superbowl since putting up all these amazing numbers.....when he was winning them he was more or less a bum statistically, so what changed?

in all honesty all(wins/losses) their SB's have been decided by a play or 2 and have been very close.....

PJ's to the Burbs
Henson was the truth at Michigan. He looked like he clearly had a brighter future than Brady and more talent.

He had talent, but he wasnt ready. If i'm not mistaken diddnt he drop almost 400 on o$u. But in big games he just wasnt fully ready. The reason he got the time he got was cause of boosters pressuring lloyd bytch ass and the yankees were calling so lloyd relented. He should of waited like brady and griese and collins b4 him. Then after tom left he got his skirt lifted then he ran off to baseball anyways leaving us to suffer thru Navare who wasnt ready

A little over 300 against O$U.

Yeah, he fukked up going to baseball. I don't know what he was thinking. He would have made a lot more in the NFL. A definite first round pick if he came back for his senior season and kept improving. What a disappointment.

He was never a bum statistically he just wasn't putting up dumb numbers like he's putting up now. What changed is that the Pats at that time where a great TEAM that wasn't overly dependent on him. Recently they have been more dependant on him and not as thorough as a team and thusly they haven't won and he's had some playoff struggles. In other words he's become Peyton Manning in Indy.

Can't say this either because even Peyton Manning won a superbowl when he was the focal point of the team :smugbiden:

u act like Peyton Manning has won anything. this nikka had a 3:7 TD:INT ratio in his only SB win, carried by Bob Sanders and the defense the entire trip

threw a game ending pick 6 in his only other SB appearances

Actually that defense and those backs carried the show that year. That was probably Peyton's worse playoffs as an individual in the last 6 or 7 years. Ironic huh? :ld:

Peyton was absolutely...and continues to be absolutely dire in high pressure playoff situations. The ring doesnt change that nor does that cute stat about the COLTS...yes the team...beating those #1 ,#2 , and #3 defenses in the Superbowl run. That might have been the most unmemorable MVP performance ever. And fukk Tom Brady...but this Manning myth needed to be addressed.

EDIT: to be fair he did play well in that second half of the Championship game against the Pats...but he was undoing his own screw ups to even give them the chance to comeback from that large deficit.

The thing about that year is that the Colts D drew favorable matchups in all but one of the games. When they had to go against an actual quarterback in the AFCCG they got torched like they did all that year, and this was with probably the worst Pats team since Brady's been there.

That's what it's about man.....matchups.

And leading one of the greatest comebacks in playoff history against the #2 defense in the league is unmemorable? :stopitslime:

see above post, stop trying to rewrite history

Not rewriting history just not willing to engage in agenda driven spin. Peyton played his part but was not the focal point like he had been in the previous years or like he's been since.

The D has gotten worse, which leads to the notion no matter how great you're as a QB, you need to be solid as a team to win rings. You can't win scoring 40 every game and the D giving up 35. At some point you just have to stop someone

That's the thing about winning SBs it's about so much more than a QB winning it. So much shyt goes into it and yet it gets reduced to this QB or that QB won it. :rudy: Unless of course people like/don't like a qb then they find a way to spin it accordingly. :heh:

This isn't true, in the majority of the colts playoff losses he actually had normal to very good games.

2009 Chargers loss- 310 Yards TD no interceptions. Colts defense implodes they lose

2010 Jets- 225 yards 1 TD No INTS . Colts defense implodes final drive

2011 SB- 331 Yards I TD 1 INT (on broken play reggie wayne now admits was his fault)

The "myth" that Patriot/Brady stans like to spread is that Peyton chokes in big games, where in reality the colts as a team have not held up their end of the bargain. Which is ironic and fitting because now they are experiencing the same thing with Brady, but we'll see if he'll ever be able to compensate enough for the rest of his team and win a ring like Peyton did
