Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a release is dated for the 1st day of the month that and that day doesn't fall on a Saturday, then its one of those 'remote' release dates that Nike does...

So basically we could be looking at anytime within a couple weeks before that date, or a couple weeks after, just gotta keep our eyes peeled...

Stare into the crystal ball with us for a minute, as some info from a very reputable source has just arrived pointing at some exciting Air Jordan retro news for the first few months of 2013. Among the models to show their face from January to February of next year are the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan III, Air Jordan V, and the Air Jordan XIII. The schedule looks to be one with plenty of OG colorways in the mix (Black/Royal Air Jordan 1′s and ‘Fire Red’ Air Jordan V’s anyone?) along with a few as of yet unseen combos for the Tinker Hatfield models in the bunch.

Air Yeezy 2 Sneakers Purchased at Culver City's Westfield Mall Stolen at Gunpoint - Culver City, CA Patch

A North Redondo Beach resident found himself without two pairs of pricey, special-edition sneakers designed by Kanye West after robbers stole them at gunpoint, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.

The victim had just returned home Saturday night from the Westfield Culver City Mall with two new pairs of Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneakers when a silver BMW pulled up and parked next to his car, police said in a news release. A person got out of the BMW, grabbed the victim from behind and held a gun to his cheek, demanding his shoes.

A man traveling with the victim tried to run from the car toward a nearby house, but a second person got out of the silver BMW and put him in a headlock until the first person grabbed the shoes, police said. The two robbers then released the victims and fled, police said.

Police have not determined whether the perpetrators followed the victims home from the mall, said Sgt. Shawn Freeman. If the victims were followed, "I can't recall a time … [when] suspects went to this great length to steal shoes."

The shoes weren't ordinary sneakers. A pair of the Nike Air Yeezy 2, designed by hip-hop artist Kanye West and released Saturday, retails for $245. However, at least one pre-ordered pair sold on eBay for more than $90,300, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The Air Yeezy 2 sneakers are a limited-edition run of 3,000-5,000, the Times reported. Based on current eBay prices, the stolen shoes could be worth more than $2,000 per pair, if resold.

"We are actively investigating" the theft, Freeman said.

Leo Chang kept a tight lip about the KD 5 details, but now you can take a first look at Kevin Durant’s fifth Nike shoe. His fifth shoe highlights KD’s need for a clean, youthful, timeless, and high-performance driven shoe.

Overall, here’s what the shoe has to offer: (Upper) Durable Hyperfuse construction composite upper coupled with intergrated strech lacing system with a flexible and comfortable forefoot. (Midsole) Injected Phylon midsole with intergrated heel clip for excellent lockdown and stability. Max Air heel cushioning and forefoot Nike Zoom unit. (Outsole) Lightweight, multi-directional flexible solid rubber outsole for smooth weight reductive traction.

As expected, the retail price for KD’s fifth shoe received a bump. While we were expecting a $5-$10 increase, the retail price increased $20. That said, the Nike KD V will retail for $115. A total of 10 KD V colorways are seen below. All colors are currently slated for a Spring 2013 release.
