Your argument is flawed. Everybody knows and says alcohol impairs judgement. If my judgement is impaired oce intoxicated, I can not make a conscious decision to do anything. Therefre I can't "intentionally" do anything at that point. I made a conscious decision to consume alcohol sure, I could've also made the decision to call a cab and then became so intoxicated I forgot my plan and drove home.

It's not a mistake because when your sober you make the decision to drink knowing you have to drive yourself home. Nothing done is accidental.

If your true intention was to take a cab you wouldn't have driven yourself somewhere to get drunk in the first place.

And the drunk driver was BELOW 21 :stopitslime:

He knew he was too drunk to drive amd KNEW THAT HE WASNT SUPPOSE TO DRINKING IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Same here. Reminds me of the time where my little sister almost stabbed my cousin in the head / eye. :whew:

We were playing man hunt one time after a game of baseball and one of my cousins was running with a bat in his hands he ran into my other cousin, knocked out 4 of his front teeth

He is too young to be tried as an adult. So if found guilty he will do juvenile life. He will be released on his 21st birthday. Hopefully he gets the help and education he needs while he is locked away and can come out and be a productive citizen. Since his juvenile record is confidential he can definitely bounce back from this.

Drunk driving and stabbing someone cant be compared to me. Most people who drive drunk dont say hey i want to kill someone. The behavior is reckless and dangerous but the intend to kill is definetly not their for most people.
I would disagree, to me the act of getting behind the wheel drunk says you want to kill yourself and/or other people. But I know because a lot of people, perhaps even yourself do it/have done it you think its not the same.

How could this kid stab someone to death. I just cant accept that a kid would be capable of that:dwillhuh:
There are kids way younger than him that have done much worse things...Product of their environments, but that's a totally different topic.

Using black and cac in the topic is tasteless though.. we're talking about kids here.. and no, he shouldn't be tried as an adult. There's no justice in send a 13 year old away for decades. No one wins from a situation like that.

if u leave the bar from drinking you don't feel drunk at all then u get into a car accident that could have happened regardless of being drunk but you read slightly over the legal limit its considered drunk driving as well. Not every case is the person who has had drink after drink. People aren't exactly sober after leaving the bar. It's a big difference from saying hey I'm tryna stab a nikka to death. That's more malicious.

They are not going to have him walk into the court room in shackles are they? I find that extremely distasteful..... Anyhow if Iam correct about this case, the lad had a terrible home life, and I mean terrible kind of mike tyson esque, if you read tysons book about his early life and we all know how messed up he was despite being fortunate due to his boxing. Iam of the firm opinion that we ought to start punishing the parent or parents of children who commit crime. Not just the child. I would find it extremely difficult to essentially destroy this childs life for ever if I was the judge ,given his background he never had a chance , I think releasing him at 21 would be the right decision, providing he gets care, support and education as well as confinement . He then should be given another chance, however any further problem involving violence no matter how trivial , he should be removed permanently from society because of the horrendous crime he committed.

Iam no liberal, which is why I believe those responsible for this childs life, must also be punished. I believe the parent should be locked up until this child is 21 also. Because lets face it ,any other child in that home is obviously not going to have a chance either, and at some point this chain of misery has to stop. The race of either child means absolutely nothing to me.

RIP to the boy. The kid obviously has no idea about the weight of murder. What brings a kid to just stab someone like that tho?
