He stopped dude in the 5th round last night. :mjpls:

No shyt Sherlock! Anyone could Google that Broner got a TKO, but you obviously didn't watch the fight. Even though it was Broner's overall cumulative punching power which got the fight stopped, Broner was still getting popped by Rees and looked like a punching bag in all the other 4 rounds! As stated, if any of Broner's opponents had real power in their hands dude would be in serious trouble.

Watching the fight last night, there is no doubt Broner is a beast, but Rees looked small as shyt. He was smaller in height and size, so I have no idea how they were in the same weight class. Rees didnt back down though, and took that ass whooping like a man. Broner even made Rees' old lady head to the concession stand after the 1st KD. I would love to see him step up in competition before declaring him "next", but I believe he is at the doorstep, with his luggage ready to move in, right now.

Spinach: if this was Ricky Hatton talking this shyt and this good instead of Broner, would you still like this cat?

I'm cool with anybody talking shyt and clowning, as long as they try to put hands on dudes and win, then it's all good. Color got nothing to do with it to me. Hatton gets hated on, but he's borderline HOF and has talked shyt during his career as well, (he stayed clowning Junior Witter) but he never had the entertaining style that Broner had although he still made good fights.

I never said Zab can't go the distance, it's just that he hardly ever looks good in doing so. How often we ever see Zab dominate someone for 12 rds? Not much.

and further more...Zab beat Ward for a regional title. Ward never ever won a world title. Don't let his great action fights fool you into thinking he's better than he actually is.

Ponce De Leon >> Micky Ward. Ponce De Leon actually won a world title and has defended it too. shyt he just beat Jhonny Gonzales not too long ago to capture another title. Ward is the definition of a C-Level fighter, yet you calling Ponce De Leon one :what:
I never said Micky Ward was better than Ponce De Leon...They are both C level tough fighters at best and were in their 30's when Zab and Broner fought them...Hence why i brought it up for comparison purposes...

You said Zab couldn't go 12 with a tough pressure fighter like Ponce, his record prior to Tszyu and even after Tszyu clearly indicates otherwise...

and everybody and their mother has a strap these days my nikka...they don't mean shyt...

Ricky Hatton use to speak in the 3rd person all the time but no-one ever called him out on it. Its not the shyt talkin thats the problem well it is to some, but its Broners try hard personality that makes people indifferent to him. Its one thing to talk your shyt but when you do interviews and talkin about water/neckbones, crackhouses (or whatever it was a few weeks ago), tougher than a steak overcooked (and keep on repeatin it aswell), youre watchin like :what::wtf: this breh is tryin way too hard to come across as a star/personality.

What I said was, if Broner was more like Zab, he would have never went the distance with Ponce De Leon. Zab never fought anybody as accomplished as Ponce De Leon at that point of his career and no Ward doesn't come close. If Zab would have fought someone like Ponce De Leon before Tszyu, there's a good chance he would have lost. That's all I'm saying.

Ponce De Leon is not only a pressure fighter, dude also has KO power in both hands which is something Ward never had. Plus he southpaw. How you gon make a comparision with 2 boxers who aren't really alike? Ward is a C-level fringe contender at best while Ponce De Leon was a B-level guy who actually became a world champion 2x.

But it's whatever. I'm not going to go back n forth over shyt like this. Besides, Broner has a way to go before he even has a career as good as Zab's even though his potential was never fully realized.

and i disagree with that heavily my dude because I've watched son his entire career...Like I said the mans resume speaks for itself...

Ward was simply the first to come to mind...You really want me to name a tough southpaw with KO power who was a former champ? Zab did fight DeMarcus Corley at the height of his career...Zab went 12 rounds with chop chop and took his WBO Light welter strap...

Anyways I agree with you one one thing, this back and forth is pointless because Broners career ain't even on Zab's level yet...We'll see how it turns out...

getting it done int he first 3 round was probably the game plan too..

he is almost always winning within 3 rounds.. i guess the plan wasnt fully succesful cuz the 5th round he became target practice aka.. ran out of fuel.

definitely has the natural talent, and mayweather as a role model means he may be taking his conditioning seriously well into his 30s, so yeah he's got what it takes

imagewise he is corny and needs to change. i dont know what kind of change, but if he wants to be a heel, he can find a better way than the silliness. maybe bitterness from a lack of american fans will help turn him into a legit villain like it did mayweather

Dude Broner is the real deal, dude showed way more skills than Zab in his prime in my eyes, I don't think those comparisons are warranted. Dude was dropping Rees with single accurate shots. First two rounds he literally played with him, almost trying to give him hope like dude had a chance before he destroyed him.

He looks big for 135, I can see him moving up weight and dominating just the same for years to come. He only like 23 or something too, he the next P4P

Rapping needs to stop, I mean damn, he make Roy Jones Jr sound like Rakim. Other than that I don't mind the antics, Rees was actually motivated to fight because of the trash talk, and he did nikka like Bane did Batman in the sewers.

Broner is real too me.

But he does get hit too much. He is an offensive fighter, but he gets hit too much to be the next Floyd.

Im good with his character, even if it comes off as forced.

No doubt he's the real deal.

To the nikkaz saying that he gets hit too much. He actually embrasses getting hit and wants guys to come at him to show off his offensive arsenal. If that means getting hit more than usual than so be it.

He's defense is up there. Not on Mayweather's level or even Hopkins but he can slip punches, feint and counter with the best of em.

His ring IQ and natural ability to adjust within a fight is also Mayweather like. I'm looking forward to seeing this guy fight and I don't care about his antics. All that shyt is entertainment and its good for the sport.
