UFC has it's faults (major ones too), but why do you hate the UFC?

The match making, the straight road to a title shot for some, it can be great and I watch from time to time. Smaller orgs have better fights in my opinion, these guys are hungry once fighters make it to the UFC they fight not to get cut. The best thing they have done in the last few years is the lighter divisions, little guys beat the s-hit out of each other. Very entertaining not like the dry humping, stalling against the cage with no warning s-hit in the heavier ones. My 2 cents, train both watch both nothing is going to change that.

There are a fair amount of boxing fans who just like to hate on MMA.

The MMA heads on this forum are (for the most part) respectful to boxing and boxers, but I just don't always see the same respect back from boxing heads towards MMA.

I don't agree with some of your points, but it's understandable:manny:.

boxing has a business makes way more money than MMA though so how do you figure that

No ones talking financially. And obviously MMA to people is still new, but popularity wise boxing is not as popular as it was back then. Most younger people I know(including me) mostly gravitate towards MMA than boxing these days. IMO in the next 10 years MMA will be pretty big, especially towards younger people. Heck MMA is used by the armed forces over boxing. IMO boxing back then was the preferred fighting style in the armed forces.

From what I've its usually people in their late 20's and above that are in more interested in boxing. Again I'm only speaking popularity wise.

Popularity wise would transfer into dollar signs

the talent pool in MMA is nowhere near boxing

people bring up james tony losing to randy, but he would have embarrassed any lesser opponent if he gave them the people most fighters starting out in the UFC faced

boxing is apart of MMA, you can't train MMA without training boxing so your comments don't make any sense

adrien broner already making more than the top UFC fighter and he ain't even did PPV yet

MMA is not just boxing so my comment does make this. Meanwhile boxing is more focused hand work while MMA covers a variety of fighting styles not limited to boxing.

And I already said boxing is obviously more bigger than MMA due to MMA being new and also that people in their late 20's and above prefer boxing. But I'm talking about people in my age group are mostly gravitating to MMA and its a big trend. Like I said in the next 10 years I predict MMA becoming big due to the people in my generation pushing it over boxing.

And what do you mean the talent pool in MMA is nowhere near boxing?

Any MMA fighter with a decent ground game would've likely beat James Toney in a MMA fight.

Anderson makes around 3-4 million a fight (including his PPV cut, purse, sponsorships, etc) Broner makes more than that?

It seems you have poor reading comprehension...

I said MMA is NOT LIMITED to boxing but also INCLUDES other fighting styles like wrestling, Judo, kicking boxing, etc.

Top MMA people like Anderson Silva mostly specializes in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, especially for training. Boxing is just ONE aspect of MMA training but MMA fighters do not have to incorporate boxing into their training.

Yeah and I'm a moron.
