1. A2 made less than A1

2. Until marvel gets villains right they have probably plateaued at the box office

Only scenario I could see DC or Marvel passing the record

DC - BvS is a grand slam with the critics and does good word of mouth or if BvS is a hit, SS is a hit, WW is a hit then JL Pt. 1 should be an major event, more so than BvS

Marvel - CW is a hit, Dr. Strange is a hit, Spiderman is a hit, Thor is a hit & GOTG 2 then Avengers Pt. 1 might do it but I doubt it. I think Avengers Pt. 2 is the closest they have to reach it unless there's a sleeper somewhere. Now if they get X-Men & F4 in the MCU then the landscape changes

Basically all these films need to be Above Average and nothing less

The man thing about Avatar is that it dropped when the 3D ish started popping. I remember my Aunt telling me that we need to see Avatar in 3D and that's the only way I should see it. They were selling that shyt like crazy, I don't think I knew anyone who saw the 2D version. 3D showings were selling out

The man thing about Avatar is that it dropped when the 3D ish started popping. I remember my Aunt telling me that we need to see Avatar in 3D and that's the only way I should see it. They were selling that shyt like crazy, I don't think I knew anyone who saw the 2D version. 3D showings were selling out

Never seen a movie look as dope as avatar in 3d. Overshadowed the plot and everything else. Part 2 Will be next level, Cameron won't let it be any less an experience.

I don't count Cameron out when it comes to spectacle. There's a reason this is the only thing he's worked on for almost 10 years now.

And they've got black panther, civil war, doc strange, the sequel to guardians, Thor 3,

It started the trend. I don't put it past him to rejuvenate the trend especially now that IMAX is in more theaters now than it was 6 years ago
