I mean, I like Derozan but where does he really fit? 35, OK at best defense, can’t shoot threes, iso-heavy on offense, doesn’t really rebound well… only thing he gives you is mid-range buckets. How much is that worth in the 2024-2025 NBA?

Eh, even at 3 attempts a game he's a huge upgrade over Barnes. We're not asking him to take 3s, but when he does and makes them at that clip it's a bonus.

The ball handling and playmaking is a better upgrade from Barnes. Offense gets too predictable with the dho. Having 2 guys that could create for themselves is awful. Especially when one comes off of the bench.

Salary dump. Kings didn’t need/want to pay Barnes anymore with DDV there and the Bulls didn’t want him either. They take on salary and get a usable part plus a pick swap down the line, Bulls get a backup guard and 2 seconds for a guy who was leaving anyway and the Kings get DDV. Win/win/wiin
