There really is no point in arguing over this decision

You have the busier guy vs the cleaner guy

Neither guy overwhelmed the other guy implementing what they do

The judges just so happened to prefer the cleaner guy

The end

If you know boxing, you know this is a preference fight. Yall are really over here arguing over some debatable shyt.

Maidana did the same to Floyd. At no point did Floyd ever really have control of the fight. He did a good job of picking his spots as the fight progressed.
Maidana did well the first fight., if it wasn't so close them why did floyd give him a rematch?:heh:

You are remembering wrong. There were a lot of people who incorrectly thought Maidana won the fight just because he was aggressive and mauled Floyd.
That's why we got that unnecessary rematch.

I thought Maidana was going to win too because I was watching on stream and thought the judges would give it to him, it was hard to see mayweather slipping most of maidana's punches, also Floyd took over completely around the 6 or 7th round. And Maidana had none of the body work of Porter.

Actually the two fights had nothing in common lmao

We all knew Porter would give him a good fight (he could have ended it Round 9... put a better puncher in that round and Thurman goes to bed) but Thurman was simply the better boxer. Porter was way too wild with the punches I'm surprised Thurman didn't drop him

Porter relied too much on tryna get him to the ropes and unleashing a barrage

Question now is where does Thurman go from here? Danny Garcia? Amir Khan? Kell Brook?

Errol Spence? :Deavours:

This fight remind me of how people thought Maidana beat mayweather by bum rushing :scust:

This is boxing people not wrestling or the NFL :francis:
I got Floyd in that fight but here....

Porter

Thurman had his few nice, clean shots / rounds but just didn't do enough... :francis:
and I'M saying this while I like Thurman slightly better otherwise and predicted his win

The fight was close cuz of Floyds inactivity early and staying against the ropes but Floyd pulled away at the end. I've never heard anybody say that Maidana actually won
