Clean punches my ass wtf is a clean

Easy fight to score, Thurman 1,11,12...Porter 2-10...:stopitslime:
The fukk are you :stopitslime: 'ng me for breh

Keith landed sharp right crosses and uppercuts (same dragon punch from their sparring) and clean left hooks at I'd say a 40% clip. I still had struggletime winning/making it a draw though.

A lot of talk about compubox in here on some Pactard shyt...:comeon:

I was pulling for Porter but had it a draw so I'm not mad with the decision...

Porter has this bad habit of telegraph lunging in with his chin up and he paid for it repeatedly...I am honestly surprised Sometimes didn't drop him in this fight with those counter right hooks he was landing seemingly every time they had distance between them...
That said Sometimes inside game is straight :scust:which is the only reason this fight was close...This dude literally does nothing but eat punches when you crowd him inside and I give mad props to the ref for not breaking them up...Every time Porter was able to close distance and got inside he won rounds on my card...Its not like Porter wasn't landing, one look at Sometimes face after the fight and you know he was getting lit up...Not to mention Porter visibly rocked him multiple times...and it wasn't just his head Porter was pounding, he put in some real good body work...

Yep that is what had me score the fight in Porters favor. Thurman was not only visibly rocked, but he was shook every time struggle would get close.

If Kenny had a really good fight plan for Shawn, he'd have been throwing a double left hook (body/head then head/body rinse/wash/repeat) as soon as they got to close quarters. Dunno why Shawn fell so in love with the uppercuts to body, when the left hook was wide open.

Also was shocked Keith didn't drop him with as much as he was landing cleanly--although he was kind of slappy the first few rounds.

I mentioned this exact thing in the fight thread.

How you supposed to be a KO artist, and land 203 power punches on your opponent at a 50% clip with ALOT of clean head shots to your opponent, but the best you managed to do was buckle a knee "one time" during the entire fight?:wow:

Thurman's power is overstated to me. He has good power, but not elite power.

Or maybe Porter's chin is criminally underrated. I mean even when AB dropped him, he got right back up with arguably the greatest facial expression I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. (Second only to Hopkins taunting Cloud) And he was good for the rest of that round with minimal cobwebs if any. The shots he was getting hit with from Thurman, you can tell by the slow-mo with his flesh vibrating he was getting hit with some monsters. I think most dudes in the division would have fell. He looked like a werewolf transforming during the slow-mo clips showing him get it. He took those though, same as he took Brook's shots.

BTW, do we have a list of monikers? :mjlol: Shook, Sometimes, Almost Berto, etc.?

Great post & agree 100% with you. Bolded part is exactly what I said. There's not too many fighters in the WW division that would've stayed upright from the shots Thurman landed. That's a testament to Porter's heart & will. But I wanna see how Porter reacts to getting hit in his next couple of fights. The shots he ate take had to have taken something out of him.

I'm curious how he does after this fight too. Robert Guerrero ain't been the same since taking those shots. Soft azz Aaron Martinez put him to sleep right after that fight and the referee botched it. Ain't that right? @Newzz

He turned his lights out, but it was either the follow up punch or the canvas which brought Ghost back to life...ironically:heh:

9-3?

What 9 rounds did you give Thurman?

Drop your score card breh

Keith landed more clean punches yes........but lost in every other aspect of the fight IMO

Only gave Porter 2,3 & 7...you can give him the 8th & 9th too.

Anything other than that...i just don't see it...unless you're including roughhousing & ineffective aggression into the scoring criteria.

I watched and scored the fight without reading thru the thread and seeing any sort of online opinions....in full 1080p HD recorded from my DVR

I looked up a few press row scores and i noticed they're consistent with the judges scoring....115-113 Thurman...which seems to be the correct score :ehh:
