Any good settings for Sony Bravia 900 series? I just do their default settings (gaming for video games) (sports to watch NBA). NBA games look pretty bad most of the time because they are 720..wish NBA would go 4K but from what I have read, its expensive as hell so it won't be any time soon

To be fair 4K isn't really that impressive. Now my OLED 4K with HDR is impressive but I got a normal 4K joint in the other room and it's just ok.

Cop you a TCL if youre on a budget. There’s a big difference from 1080p to 4K and HDR trust me.

nikkas hyping up these oleds them shyts aint even that great to be spending damn near 2k on em. I have a lg oled in the living room and tcl in the bedroom and the difference between them is not worth an extra 1-1.5k unless you just got money to burn.

They are great, especially if you're coming from a 720/1080p set. I bought a 55" hdr version for my room & i regretted not copping in the first place....couldve bought 3 of them for the price of my oled. I would grab the refreshed 6 series ones coming on may 1st but honestly they're some of the best tvs under $800, they can easily compete with higher end brands. Has some of the lowest input lag for gaming as well

When you get 4K hooked up right, it truly does look amazing.

This...

Anybody questioning 4K picture quality worth, I'm going to ask what their source material is.

I have a Samsung 65" KS8000 that is almost 2yrs old, 4K UHD Blu-ray looks amazing on it. Had a 55" Samsung 1080 before that, night and day difference in picture quality.

We need an official TV thread

:manny: we have an official Home Theater/entertainment thread, TV questions have been asked in there...

Nah, i cant agree. Finally on the OLED HDR train and i noticed it when playing GOW on the pro. Colors/textures just looked more life like.

then i REALLY noticed it when watching War for the Planet of the Apes on UHD. Its almost like being there. Every thing was clear, textures looked life like.

Streaming is where i really struggle to see the benefit.

EDIT: Just realized i dont have 4k netflix, so jury is still out on streaming :pachaha:

Edit2: turns it, I do have Netflix 4K. But only the Dolby Vision stuff look good. UHD stuff didn’t look all that great.
