Just finished Half Blood Prince. Those last few chapters were great. I knew it was going to happen but didn't know how so reading it was :to:

So far these books have been getting better and better.

The Demolished man.
Same writer as "The Stars My Destination".
Dude was 30-50 years ahead of this time with the sociopathic cyberpunk anti-hero stories.

:banderas:
The Count of Montecristo......but in space.
I'll be sure to check that book out if it's from the same dude.

Just started reading The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison :ehh:

That's an amazing book. Song of Solomon was :wow:

she was vaulted into my top 3 authors list off those two alone.

But then....I tried to read Tar Baby :francis:

man what in the fukk :dahell:

Total chore to get through and absolutely nothing has happened except some bickering between an old couple with their servants just posted up observing.

I was waiting for the plot to develop or something and finally just threw in the towel. She's a brilliant, brilliant writer but that book left a sour taste in my mouth :manny:

Walter Mosley is still my GOAT

I'm scared to read any more Toni Morrison tbh, Tar Baby is supposedly a classic but I really ain't get much out of it. Nothing really.

Or maybe I'm just impatient or not smart enough or some shyt. But the dialog in that book is ass and it's hard to keep track of who's who, who's saying what....I was really let down after reading Song of Solomon and The Bluest Eye

Read and finished Kindred a couple of days ago. Normally I'm not into slave stories but the time travel element intrigued me. Very good book that didn't over stay it's welcome.
Going to start Dune after I see part 2 Saturday.

Had several days where I couldn't get time to read but I finally finished Children of Dune before I went to sleep last night. Man, what a crazy story. I was going to read something else not Dune related after this but the way it ended I have to read God Emperor of Dune next lol

Just finished The Will Of The Many. Was enjoying it a lot right up until the last few pages. I'm not interested in where it's going so I probably won't pick up the sequel.
