I think I'm done trying to cop vinyls. I'm glad Freddie Gibbs does pre-orders. This boutique shyt is out of control. I went for the basic black vinyl. I hit buy now and nothing happened. So I went back and hit add to cart, but it had already been 60 seconds so obviously it said sold out.All the vinyl sold out under a minute
I been getting Al vinyls since college radio since just before 1st Infantry. These new era Griselda fans done came in and taken over the vinyl copping game with Al. I swear it wasn't this hard a couple years ago. You used to have a good 3-5 minutes. Now it's like 30 seconds. I haven't even tried to get one in over a year, but thought I'd try the new website.
Never again. Maybe when I'm wealthy one day I'll pay eBay prices. But the way it is now is just stressful and not enjoyable.

Exact same thing happened to me too. I just wanted one standard copy, had it in my basket, made it even to check out at 9:00 am, went to hit complete, got hit with "sold out". It's definitely bots, someone on ebay got all 3 variations selling for a stupid price

On his bandcamp, I only missed one. That recent Man of Many Hats which was limited to 75 copies, which is understandable.
And yeah, just saw that dude on Ebay too. He already jacked it up from $125 to $200. Album is good but ain't worth this shyt. There is a clearly bubble within this market right now. Not falling for these Discog/Ebay 15x multiples.

not sure how those work. One other thing I wish Al or Daupe or these guys would do, limit the purchase quantity. Do 1 per customer if youre dropping only 500 pieces say of a standard version/limited version

I wish they’d just do like a 10 minute pre-order window. It would fix everything. It would let people like us that want a basic copy to listen to actually have time to get it. And the people buying just to flip them on eBay would still be able to brag about a small amount of copies.
Or better idea. Keep it how it is for the grey October style mist expensive ones. But leave a dedicated window of time open for ore-ordering the most basic versions. Hell even 5 minutes would be fine for most of us, I’m sure.

There's no reason 500 copies of this album should be gone in a second. Actions, Currensy, and Fetti I was able to get and they dwarf Boldy in popularity. People just played games with this.
