I was just saying this "elsewhere", if you know what I mean. I've been buying wax since the late 90's and it's not even fun buying online anymore. At least for all these bougie limited records. It's just a race for resellers, and I'm not playing that.
This here.
I've been collecting vinyl since the early 90's. And it's the same with sneakers now, resellers came in and are trying to cash in on product they don’t even care about. It's just another way to exploit culture. And it's not people that grew up with it either. I just copped Monch's
Internal Affairs on vinyl a couple weeks ago. Orange vinyl, remastered on 180 grams, limited quantity pressed. I got a couple of copies for like $26 a piece. Brand new, sealed. Why would dudes pay $50 or $75 for a Boldy James project? LOL!! The OG versions of certified classics go for $75+, I'm not paying that for no damn Boldy James.
People get caught up in that hype too much. It ain't worth it.
