Been playing this daily since I heard it. Was just expecting this to be leftovers when it was announced but it's damn near on par with the album :wow:

I love how Alchemist knows which sample to add drums to and which to leave alone. A lesser producer would've left Bumps and Bruises alone but it knocks that much harder with drums. Meanwhile Guilt is absolutely beautiful on its own :ohlawd:

straight up, this shyt ridiculous. I might like this as much as if not more than Bo Jackson.
I really wasn't in no rush to play this after they already dropped and it not being Roc's album, but I was dumb.

Chuck might've been right about this being his cousins best album.

This one is definitely gonna go down as being a special one for sure. I said it before but this is their Covert Coup. One of those ones that isn’t necessarily sequenced like an album, but still somehow sounds cohesive. It’s trippy to me how these 2 basically don’t change up the formula in terms of subject matter, and yet I think each one of their projects sounds unique, distinctive, and each one has a different aesthetic

No doubt. That was a fun one because I was starting to think there wouldn’t be drums on Bumps and Bruises right as they came in.

Yeah, these guys are 5 for 5. I think Boldface is slightly below the other 4 and I can’t quite put into words why. It’s not just because it’s shorter. And it’s still dope. I just like it less than the rest.

I think Bo and Tecmo probably contain their best actual songs. M1CS is more raw, less polished, and hard as fukk. Price of Tea and Boldface were the first glimpse of them building up to what they’re doing now after the 6 year layoff.

Seems people forget about my 1st chemistry set. To me that’s still the best one.
It's fire.

It's just a tough album for me to go back to a lot because it dropped during maybe the worst time in my whole life. It's the soundtrack to a lot my worst memories. I still listen to it sometimes, and it puts me in a bad mood less as the years go on. But I've gotta be in the right mood to want to hear it.

I think M1CS definitely has the most like 2000's sounding Alc beats that he's dropped this side of 2010, and Boldy's voice seems a little louder and less monotone on there. I 100% get the appeal and I know why it's a lot of people's favorite BoldChemist album.

I listened to Consideration on Sunday driving over the bridge to the beach and it was :banderas:

It definitely exists more along the lines of Covert Coup, Rare Chandeliers & Albert Einstein then the recent 4 Boldy/Alc projects which all sound similar stylistically.

Boldy talking that shyt on Francois :whew:

Had to learn to put that work on the scale, before the money got made
nikkas think 'cause they go to jail, that it's something to praise (That shyt ain't cool)
Can't even say if nikkas kept it solid
Whatever happened to them nikkas got away and live to tell about it?
Some nikkas faked it 'till they made it, I just can't relate (I can't)
Look at his pics before the rap, that nikka chain was fake (Cap)
All of a sudden nikkas me, soon as they get some cheese
Type to believe his own lies, it's a sick disease
Where all them bricks y'all nikkas sold? I'm tryna buy a few (Where they at?)
How many whips y'all nikkas drove you had the titles to?
How many cribs y'all nikkas owned before the signin' bonus?
Outside my bytch, it ain't no hoes I feel entitled to
Gettin' my peoples out the streets, all I was tryna do
Ain't no indictments or no links that they could tie me to (Scot-free)
Can't put myself on the scene or actual situations
When it come to murder, ain't no statue of limitations

And the beat sounds like the credits are rolling:wow:

Glad you noticed. Old school Jay is a huge inspiration for Boldy, and Jay’s favorite hiphop album of 2020 was apparently Price of Tea. Boldy even has a lot of Hov homage bars on there.
one of the few who excel at making "grown man rap" , perceptive and a heightened sense of self awareness that most lack or completely fail at eventually becoming caricatures with each passing release.
