Album is flames. Maybe I’m in the minority but this should’ve come out in the fall/winter. Alc production is just so dark and menacing to me. Maybe it’s because I discovered him in the fall/winter of 1999 when we played Murda Muzik after every football practice. Anyways excellent follow up to TPOTIC. Boldy sounds more focused on this. Different flows and harder delivery. A good mix.

my favorite tracks off a few listens

Double Hockey Sticks
Steel Wool
Turpentine
Photographic Memories
Fake Flowers
48 Hours

I agree with you. There's actually been a few albums that have dropped since June that I think would've sounded better in the fall/winter.

I would just add that even though this is still a fall/winter album, I think it's less of one than Tea in China. I think this sounds more colorful. I love Tea in China, but I think it's darker than Bo Jackson. Given the choice to play Bo or Tea in the spring/summer, I think I'm going with Bo every time.

This album is like Bandana to me in so many ways. And I can see Bo Jackson being the album to introduce way more people to BoldChemist, just like Bandana did for MadGibbs.

They did it again! Probably my favorite rap release of the year, with Pray for Haiti. Why is no one talking about Illegal Search & Seizure though? The beat is a throwback to the soul sample era and Boldy is spitting.

I waited before saying anything and jumping in with some hyperbole but yeah, this is fantastic.

probably the best Boldy's ever sounded and I feel like you can hear how confident he is on this one.
you hear Boldy over that little twinks beats on that Versace tape and it just doesn't hit. its empty. Alc creates the right atmosphere for him.

I have never been a fan of Earls, hes always sounded awful and so its no surprise he stunk this one up. should have put him last on the song.

damn Boldy kinda slid in and killed the flow Benny was trying to do with ease:hubie:
Felt the same way. He really did slid on that joint.
Agreed. Boldy definitely got Benny on that joint. Boldy has really stepped it up. I listened to Real Bad Boldy yesterday and forgot how insane the flow on the 2nd verse on this joint is.

haven't listened to Ransom's or Ka's tapes but for me, the 2 best lyrical performances of the year have been Boldy & Mach

This joint on that tape is why I was slightly disappointed in the StoveGod feature
