This shyt flames. :whew:

Why is it so much better than their previous work?
I think Boldy is objectively better each year. Boldy's flow and lyrics are always improving. I think that's a big part of it. I also think they're in a creative groove, and from the interviews I've read, they say that they're real life best friends and click very well. I think a big part of this is just the timing of Boldy moving from a good rapper to a great rapper.

Edit: Also @Dusty Bake Activate I think there are certain collab projects Alc has done that could've had better follow ups, but we never heard them to find out. Maybe he's the type of producer that could do a better job the 2nd time around. Prodigy, Currensy, and Boldy are the main 3 collaborators of his that come to mind that have done more than 1 full project with him. A lot of people like Albert Einstein over Return of the Mac too. I don't know. And like, I think most people prefer Bandana over Pinata. I don't like Bandana more than Pinata, but I do think it's better. So maybe a duo improving is just a part of it??

Man maybe it's just me but I can't get into Boldy's slow, monotone voice....shyt puts me to sleep....dude raps like he been hittin the lean too much.

Alchemist beats are fire as always but Alc needs a new rapper to work with.
I didn't like Boldy at all for a while, and now he's one of my favorite rappers. It's possible it could just be more of a style to grow on you, because I know I'm not alone on that. I also really like monotone rappers. :manny: Guru, Evidence, KA, Roc Marci, PMD, early era Earl, etc. I like slow flow and/or monotone rappers.

And ironically, I don't even think Boldy does any hard drugs. But he's always stoned.

Boldy on Steel Whool :wow:
:wow:

I love that he legitimately hangs with every feature on this album. Even if he doesn't have the best verse, he'd not out here getting embarrassed or sounding outclassed. I think he even out-rapped Benny on here, and I probably liked Boldy more than Earl on Photogenic Memory.

Steel Wool reminds me of a beat off of 360 Waves or M1CS.

It'll click one day...I felt the same way at first.

But he really leveled up his flow over the years

Same here. Can't wait for it.

Currensy really hit another level for his verse on Fake Flowers. One of his best verses in a while.
Is there any other producer who has a stronger coalition of MC than Alchemist?

It’s like rappers start a whole different career once they start working with Alc:pachaha:

:ohhh:I just noticed on First 48 that he rhymes words with a long A sound (ie. space, place, race, face, waste, etc.) in literally every single bar for the entire 48 bars.

I don't know how I've listened to that song for 3 weeks and am just putting that together.

:wow:

Probably not to be honest. I mean essentially they have an entire crew out there. They don't have a name or anything, but Boldy, Gibbs, Spitta, Conway, Benny, Roc Marci, Evidence, and Earl might as well be a crew. I might be forgetting someone. At least one or more of those guys are often in Al's studio at the same time in any given month, and they're always working together. And even if they aren't always recording songs together, a lot of times they're recording separate projects there at the same time and influencing each other.
