ACATs are pretty straightforward. What is the reason it failed for you? Some things I've heard of is not having enough money left over to pay the 'fees' that the original bank (ie Chase) charge for the transfer. Basically most brokers charge you on the way out of the door so if you have a $1,000 acct, you might only be able to actually transfer $960 and leave $40 for fees.

Another potential issue is that the name/personal info on the old account doesn't 100% match the new account and so they reject it. Touch base w/ Chase and they'll sort you out.

It's a bit of chase making it difficult and the sofi website having unclear instructions. SoFi has an online link that enables you to sign in and transfer online. I did that but it failed.

It failed because chase wants me to download paperwork to fill out and mail it back to them. I just found out about that part.

Gotta love Chase. Who requires physical paperwork and mailing forms in
