if i currently own a home and the value drops 50% should i be happy? or not worry about it because i havent sold yet?

even if i had the assets to buy a 2nd home at discount im still looking at my current home with trepidation wondering when im getting my value back

If I own a home and values drop I still live in that home. I still can make my payments. Since I'm not selling it the value at the moment isn't a factor.

It's like my car. The value of it continues to fall and will never recover. Doesn't really freak me out.

Stocks will recover. These things have cycles.
