Everyone called Cathie crazy on their original Tesla pt. It hit that. They’ve spent more time looking into Tesla then any of us, so I wouldn’t dismiss them so quickly.

from the outside looking in, autonomous seems very very hard to solve and get accepted by governments. 5 year timeline is another extra factor.

but I do like that the energy side wasn’t included. Leaves a lot of upside, if autonomous doesn’t happen. Very innovative company with a lot of money, a hard working owner and top talent wants to work for them = a good longterm investment. Even with the current hits growth companies are taking, this could be a 3x easily imo.
Autonomous is not going to happen anytime soon and even if/when it does, it will be DECADES before that is the standard. Tesla bulls talking about autonomous driving is like telling FAIRY TALES as fact. It is beyond any timeline people are investing in for the next 30-50 years.

Alot of people have said it's harder to reach 100k than 1 million. Only because all it takes is one trade when you're starting out to completely wipe you out and you start over again. Where with 100k you have more capital to make it up despite needing 900k to reach a million
it is harder
to go from 1000 to 100,000 is a x100

to go from 100,000 to a mil is a x10

not to mention if ya living situation set up perfect then you aint got to work and ya bills aint high so u can do this full time easy

In April 2017 my net worth was about $40K per Mint.com. in July of 2019 it was crossing $100K for the first time. Now it's almost April of 21 and it's about to cross $200K. If I paid down a lil more debt it would be cross it already. That's 5x in about 4 years. If those same result can be produced again I'd be a millionaire in 5 more years. It's probably challenging but far from impossible.

Bad part for me was I waited till about 33 to take money seriously. Had I started in my 20s I bet I'd be at least half way there instead of almost a quarter there. Probably my biggest regret in life was not taking money seriously much sooner.

That ignorance is kind of blissful though.

:wow:
I love this quote.
I always assume Munger is talking about total
assets.
If he is, I'm pretty damned closed to that $100k.
:to:

If he's only talking about cash on hand then I'm gonna have to save
a few more years.
:pachaha:
