there's no winning with you militant types
I mean I could call you names too, but I really don't care to get into that ad hominem stuff
I don't see what it helps, calling your position c00nish is too obvious and probably useless
so whatever floats your boat
you should try telling police how to handle a routine traffic stop:yeshrug:

yup
the guy told him he did not have a license on him and he could run his name (since he knew he was in the system)
that was not good enough
I have been stopped without my license
forgot it in the envelope right after getting new registration at the dmv
the cop gave me a summons, all I had to do was go in and show my license and proof of insurance
and I did not have to pay anything since my license existed, I just did not have it on me at the time
this is not a get out of the car and let me handcuff you situation
he was wrong for even doing that

Exactly.

This whole situation is :dahell:

He had a bottle in his car, ok give him a breathanalyzer
He didn't have his license, give him a ticket
He didn't have front license plate (but then he said he had it in the glove box?) give him a ticket

I mean wtf?

Like I said in the Walter Scott thread

dap + rep. That's an excellent post breh

I dont understand how people cant read between the lines. Everytime something like this happens either we find some little thing that the victim "did wrong" or they give us a reason to blame the victim. It's always gonna be "she shouldnt have been irritated" "he shouldn't have closed the door" "he shouldnt have ran" "he shouldnt have been wearing a hoody" or all of a sudden they tell us the victim had marijuana in their system then it becomes "he/she shouldnt have had weed in their system" etc etc. We unknowingly justify these killings with each shoulda/coulda/woulda.

All these excuses give them more of a reason for them to expect perfect behavior from us like we're some kind of robots. And when they get anything less than that perfect behavior they think they're justified in killing us. And we play right into it always talking about how the victim should've been the perfect negro.

We need to stop victim blaming and acknowledge that their standards for our actions and emotions are much higher than any other race and that just simply isnt fair. We are being murdered for being irritated as if we do not have the right to have any emotion when dealing with the police.

I dont understand how people can't see how dehumanizing that is.

One Year Later, Cliven Bundy and His Right-Wing Militia Are Still Trying to Seize Public Lands

A year after his dangerous armed standoff with federal officials, outlaw rancher Cliven Bundy has become the face of a radical bill in Nevada — and similar efforts in 10 other Western states — to seize and sell off America’s public lands.

Introduced last month by Assemblywoman Michele Fiore (R), who is perhaps best known for controversial comments on guns, race, and healthcare, Nevada’s “Bundy Bill” would authorize the state to seize U.S. public lands within its borders and prohibit the federal government from using any land without the state’s permission. It would also give county commissioners authority to sell off public lands for development.

After being drastically altered in order to gain approval from a Nevada Assembly Committee on Thursday, the “Bundy Bill” now heads to the state’s full Assembly.

Last week, Bundy and 100 of his followers rallied in Nevada’s capital in support of the bill.

“We’re here to take our state back and act like we’re sovereign citizens,” Bundy said at the rally.

However, as reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal, Nevada’s Legislative Counsel Bureau concluded that the proposal would be “constitutionally invalid,” and that “ample bases exist upon which court could invalidate any state laws which are in direct conflict with existing federal laws concerning those public lands or which are hostile to or interfere with the exercise of federal authority over public lands.”

Right-wing lawmakers in 10 other Western states — Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming — have also proposed or introduced similar unconstitutional proposals that would support the seizure and sale of America’s public lands to the highest bidder.

In addition to the glaring legal issues they raise, these proposals would place severe burden on state taxpayers who would have to cover high costs of land management, and are consequently extremely unpopular with Western voters. Bipartisan public opinion research has shown that a majority of Westerners oppose these proposals and believe that giving control of public lands to state governments would result in reduced access for recreation and a high probability the lands would be sold off for drilling, mining and logging.

Nonetheless, Bundy’s philosophy is gaining traction with national GOP leaders and organizations, encouraged by the oil and gas industry and the Koch-backed American Legislative Exchange Council.

Most recently, Congressman Mark Amodei (R-NV) introduced a “large-scale” public lands bill, which would allow the state of Nevada to seize and sell off public lands. Representative Rob Bishop (R-UT), chair of the House Natural Resources Committee, also requested $50 million in the federal budget in order to facilitate immediate transfer of public lands to state control.

In the Senate, Sen. Lisa Murkowksi, Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, introduced an amendment in March to support state efforts to seize public lands. Sen. Ted Cruz is preparing to include opposition to America’s public lands in his presidential campaign as a “play for the West.”

To mark this week’s anniversary of their now infamous standoff, Bundy and his militia followers are planning a “Bundy Ranch Freedom Reunion,” or “Liberty Celebration,” to “gather in celebration of our liberties, agency and stand with God, for our U.S. Constitution, State sovereignty, Property rights and to enjoy access to our lands,” according to a Facebook invitation.

For one I wouldnt have started up the car when the cop asked to remove your seatbelt. Appatently this wasnt Sams first run in with the cops about his front tag.

Sam Dubose, Ray Tensing: UC police officer said motorist was dragging him, so he shot him
"According to court records, police pulled Dubose over 13 times between 1995 and 2009 for only having one license plate. He was charged four times between those dates. He was also charged with driving under suspension eight times between 2005 and 2011."

Nothing justifies the cops actions cause he should have let sam drive off and follow him but after being pulled over 13 times for the same thing i would expect a brotha to smarten up..

agree. cop was too quick to bust but cmon man, trying to slam the door and start the car ? :snoop:. and no, i dont think this cop was "out for blood" when he pulled the dude over. some of yall truly see what you want to see.

If you guys were sitting in that car at that moment, what would you have done differently?
There is nothing you can do if you got a racist cac with an itchy trigger finger. The cop was acting like a stank bytch with his period on from the gate.

This is what I do when I'm pulled over. I'd like other brothers to do this because I've literally have had little interactions with cops I've noticed when I do this.

First off. Get your license, registration, and insurance card and make a COLOR COPY of it all on ONE PAGE. Whenever you are pulled over make sure to put it in your car where you can reach it before the cop gets out of the car. Make sure to have your plastic license too. Have your hand out the window with it in your hand. The pig will come up and ask you for your license and all you got to do is give him the paper with your license.

The reason why I do this is because these fagots get all anxious if you roaming around your car looking for your documents. This also literally cuts down a lot of the interaction with the pig. All documents can be copies except your license. The reason why I say include your license on there is in case you don't have it, they can still see you have a license and that they run the number on it.

I promise you, I haven't had any problems while doing this. I don't get all pissed off when I'm pulled over, but I damn sure don't kiss any ass. If you do all this and the cop is still beefing, then you gotta give him that work. Because he is just trying to start some shyt and you are going to die anyway. Might as well give yourself a chance.

All this happened under the regiment of a "black" president. Invasive what will happen when they put a white back in power.

And nothing will change until our community has money to put away cops like this. They get away with this because without money, we cannot fight back or affect change.

No money, no power, no sway, no change. The only other way there will be change is if cops start looking us in droves.

This is right on the heels of the Sandra Bland case and there hasn't been a wide spread initiative or media coverage of cops killing blacks. No Tyler Perry movie, no million man March. This is exactly why they killed Malcolm.

Police racism and terrorism needs to be addressed as a voting platform. There needs to be change and people need to held accountable from the top down.

But are we so at the bottom that people can just walk over so many corpses like it's nothing? Or will the death toll add up to a substantial amount that politicians recognize that something needs to be done?

It's atrocious to think of how many innocent bodies have been piling up over the last few years. But this exposes the government and the people of America for what it really is and who they really are. This will all come to light eventually but after numerous bodies and more bizarre situations.

These cops are pathetic.

I'm mixed on this. Dude was clearly bs'ing and didn't have a license, was proably suspended or had warrants his name , hence him acting all shook. You are suppose to have your license on you and cop was trying to see if he did and he was fukkign around. The skirmish that resulted in a gun shot happen so quick and the cam footage was bad you I couldn't really tell what was going on and if the cop was in danger. On the other hand cop didnt have to open his door, could have asked him to step out the car and if not then proceeded to open the car door. That is kinda what escalated the situation.
