Bigger issue is supermarkets in NYC are largely dead in the last decade. Compounding the issue is there are no Walmarts in NYC either. 15 minute grocery cool until they're the only option and price gouge. Not to mention the traffic issue that comes with these delivery people.

He says it's high turnover... No one stays there long.
Very young people work there from what I see...
So I'm pretty sure it doesn't pay well

As a Californian we'd rather go to an actual grocery store because the markup on regular items in convenience stores is too high.
