They need to turn him heel and bring in MVP or someone to manage him.

The stalling suplex is fine as a signature move; he has been doing it since 2006, but it isn't a finisher. I'm not sure if anyone posted Booker T's thoughts on Lashley, so I'll share the clip:

Similar to his thoughts on Jason Jordan :mjpls:

Just finished listening to this vid, and nah, Booker was VICIOUS on Jordan. I understood what Booker was saying about Lashley as far as a build and such, but not the stuff about footwork/etc. Lashley was almost the sole reason I was watching Impact during the time he was collecting all those titles, so much that I’m extremely out of the Impact loop since he lost the title to Eddie Edwards and left a little while after. The fact the Lashley's getting subdued reactions is not a Lashley problem, it's a WWE problem. No vignettes, no promos, no build, just "surprise, look, it's Bobby Lashley, he used to be here 10 years ago" and that's it. What reason other than being away that long has the WWE given fans to care about Lashley?? They have him as just "some guy" being a bland face and apparently using a suplex as a finisher. And they're not even letting him use the spear or Dominator :hhh: nor the powerslam since that's Braun's finisher. That's awful.

But the WWE has a history of doing this, so it shouldn’t be a surprise. They like to make the shyttiest changes to people. Look at Bobby Roode. How do you take a guy very good at playing a heel, basically being a mini-HHH and bring him up to the main roster to face a generic face almost exclusively over cause of his theme and catchphrase? Though he currently has no build, the WWE's repackaging of Jinder Mahal gives them no excuse to not be able to get behind somebody if they want to.

Too many guys - way too many guys

They just bring in people to kill off other promotions' success. No matter how limited the effect is.

I’ve noticed this too. They sign a hot name because he’s hot, and then they do nothing with him for a while. Sometimes they feed him to someone, and sometimes they just sit in limbo. That shyt is absolutely intentional.

This is why I don't advocate for WWE signing people just to sign them. But if the worker is happy making full-time money and WWE doesn't care, can't really argue against it :mannyshrug:

THIS.

They brought bum ass Jinder Mahal back and maide him champion.

I don't want to hear any excuses about any far more talented Black wrestlers not getting pushed.

But Lashley's 41, so I'm guessing that this isn't about a real run, but a gold watch run.

They do this often, where they’ll bring in an act who has buzz simply for that fact, then proceed to not know or care about what to do with them afterwards. They could easily turn this around if he turns on Braun and does an impressive move on/against him.

Braun needs someone 'realistic' to work with until summerslam, Raw can use another heel, Lashley needs a storyline, and Lashley/Braun are teaming up on Backlash. There you go.
