I'm not defending them :dahell:

It should come standard along with a lot of other features. When I had a 2017 Maxima it came with the base model. It didn't come with the base model Pathfinder.

These auto makers are greedy b*stards. That's why cars are so expensive.
Then why are you trying to argue differently?

:gucci:

To be honest, a big reason they want you to pay for CarPlay is because it makes 90 percent of the other dashboard features irrelevant, no reason to play an extra $600 for the navigation when carplay and android auto uses superior navigation from your phone.

CarPlay essentially screen mirrors your phone so you can control your phone with the dashboard. You dont need to touch your phone once connected. Whatever navigation app you use on your phone shows up on your dash so you dont need the shytty navigation system that comes in most cars.

It's not a needed feature but it cost almost nothing to implement so it doesn't make sense to charge so much for QOL features.

Like I said....Useless feature...

Apple CarPlay is a useless feature.
You trippin fam. Apple Car play is a beast!! My original 2013 Mazda 6 didn’t come with any navigation features. I went to Best Buy and copped a new dash with Apple CarPlay. Don’t need to hold my phone up or stick it to my dashboard to drive.

This sounds fuken stupid. So they're gonna spend the money in putting the technology in the car but only charge you if you activate it. I can understand digital stuff as that's cloud based so they're actually providing a service but what about shyt like suspension and lights where they have to actually install it from factory.

:mjlol:

They're gonna have to fall back with that shyt like they did with charging for Apple CarPlay and not offering OTA updates.

BMW is out here acting like they're Porsche, I won't shed any tears when they get lapped by Asian manufacturers :hubie:
Acura/Lexus/Infiniti are dead in the water right now. They won’t be getting passed anytime soon.

that’s an understatement...those three don’t have anything compelling at all in their lineup right now save maybe the LC500. Even the Lexus F models are meh. Infiniti needs that Renault backing to really do anything or they’re outta here. Barely even realize Acura is still around. Lexus still has the old blue hair white lady clientele, asian nail salon owners, and patels, so they at least have steady buyers.
