Blueprint 3 is a guilty pleasure album. I like every track.

This is one of Jay's worst albums. It was pretty bad.

I f*ck with "Thank You", "So Ambitious" and "What We Talkin' About", and that's about it. I really don’t know what happened on this album or what the plan was. But it was trash beyond belief.

Ghetto Techno was supposed to be in it, right? :scusthov:

DOA obviously aged badly because it didn't work. We saw cracks in Jay Z influence.

BP3 was post Glastonbury headliner. So that's was an Influence on the sound and vibe.

It's funny because I came in here to say that I've never listened to the album in it's entirety, but I just checked the tracklisting and realized that I have. :heh:

Third verse on Real As It Gets is one of my favorite Hov verses.

Singles carried this album hard. More people would realize how bad it was if it wasn’t for those songs

The album had some dope joints and some of the worst songs ever

hate, reminder, forever young and venus vs mars are a complete unlistenable trash. Off that also sounds like a low budget disorganized shyt, and it's produced by Timbaland. He really fell off around that time.

That's already a 1/3 of an album that's skippable immediately.

Then you go to a song like On to the next one which is also corny and on the worse side of Swizz production.

A star is born also very annoying instrumental, but Cole was aight on that track.

Thank you, Real as it gets and So ambitious were good songs. Run this town, Empire state of mind decent for mass consumption tracks. DOA is OK, but overrated due to Jay being notorious for jumping on trends and that track was him pretty much doing what Nas already did with Hip Hop is dead. When DOA dropped people were like "oh he about to destroy those auto tune rappers", forgetting Jay has been an opportunist his entire career.

So there you go. 1/3 of album is trash, the other 1/3 is good and the rest is whatever in between.
