I wouldn't have an issue with him making anything...I would just see him putting a sign up saying "Black-Owned" as sort of disingenuous since he's biracial. These people want to be able to put Black-owned and we have to accept it but they understand they can't put Asian owned because the Asian community would be quick to call them out. Like if my son put "Tamil-owned" on his hypothetical store, them racist ass Indians would be lined up around the block ready to let my son know he isn't Tamil.
Hypothetical question for you. What if In the future the United States government is ready to pay out reparations to us as ADOS, but you’re already dead and your son is an adult. Would you not want or didn’t think your son deserves a check even though his father is ADOS:jbhmm:

My son is PART ADOS so he would be entitled...it's not rocket science. The sign doesn't say "partiallly Black owned" it says "Black owned" and that's the whole contention. If he wants to hang it up because that's how he identifies, fine, some people will say some slick shyt and it's on him to defend himself as a man. I as his farther am instilling pride in him about his heritage by what he sees me do and the people he is around so he'll be fine. But no matter what...my son is half-Indian...it's just facts...he's not just Black American.

So if Halle Berry of Mariah decided to open a jewelry shop and put a "black owned business" sign out front, y'all would really have a problem with that?

And you're not raising your children to have a black orientation?

Not judging or anything just find it interesting. You don't really hear the views of Coli fathers with mixed-race children on here too much.
Its not really about how they are raised, but how they “pass”. If you are mixed race but white passing, your experience is going to different from someone who is obviously black. So trying to use actual legal benefits specifically meant to counter discrimination people receive for not looking white or looking black when you don’t receive that same type of discrimination seems dishonest. I wouldn’t blame them from a business perspective, but from a human one You know there are people out there who need that leg up more than you do.
