And like I said, who cares if SOME Ethiopians are grimy toward black people? I know black people who have MURDERED other black people. So who is your bigger beef with?

I know it's not all of them. I recently met some on a trip to Texas.. they were cool.

I think you misread what I wrote, my position on religion is that religion falls under individual freedom and everybody should practice whatever religion they want to or not follow any religion at all

If I have a good family life, stable 2-parent home, good income, nice house, children well kept, why am I wrong to tell my children don't be like those fatherless hoodlums with no family values from across town?

I get what you're saying about nation within a nation but what is a nation with no leadership or unity? A joke of a nation that will not go far. So while it's not nice to pick on the poor kid, the kid is still gonna be poor.

All I'm saying, is these feelings are not specific to any race or people. ALL humans do this. Our "tribes" go to war with one another. Does that make them racist too? If an Ethiopian says Ethiopia > black how is that any worse than an AA killing another AA? I'd rather someone think they're better than me than kill me so gimme a racist ANYTHING over a heartless killer any day. Nationality and skin tone make no difference.

I'm sayin tho breh, Africans don't always live like that. It may be more common but it's not always the case. I grew up in a one parent home as did a lot of my cousins. Trust me, black people the same all over. Plus you gotta consider, the Africans that usually make it here are the best and brightest of their respective country. I always joke that if some of my family members were the American equivalent of what they were back home we'd be rich. So naturally, some of them will have that type of snobbish attitude.

I was just making a comparison, breh. The families I spoke of were metaphors for nations. My "well kept up fam" was representative of a strong nation, not necessarily an actual family. In other words, Ethiopians have a proud culture and heritage I take it? We don't. I'm one of the poor kids across town, not because my parents are broke, but because my nation is broken.

I'm from an area that has had one of the highest violent crime rates per population - black on black crime is so common that a normal dude like me has two partners i put commissary up for monthly - they both killed or attempted killed other black guys we grew up with. and my immediate fam member was just deported for a violent crime of AKing another black man.

I'm not sure why Ethiopians came up, but my point still stands about how they look at us. I really think we are a nation here and are only loosely linked to these others. I used to be more AFrocentric, but I'm off that now. .... my immediate fam is black, but my actual ethnicity and past is linked to some of the very groups and religions we are dissing in this thread.......
