Wouldn't you say it was a class thing? Arab culture was patrilineal, even Europeans so a mulatto born of a white/Arab father was no longer associated with their mothers heritage at all. They carried this on because the mulatto child could move up the ladder, abandoning their mother (sometimes a slave or concubine) all together. They tried that mulatto shyt in the south but it effectively stopped after the Louisiana purchase. The British were pretty uppity and thought they were above blacks even though they procreated with them too.

that's exactly what it is, class warfare. these mulattos (with their lighter skin and "softer" hair) get bumped up in class by whites, while actual blacks are relegated to the bottom of the ladder. thus, mulattos are used against black people in a social context. we see this being played out to this day.

CLIFF HUXTABLE'S FATHER WAS VERY LIGHT THOUGH...

SO HIS DAUGHTERS COULD COME OUT GRANDPOPS COMPLECTION.

Word, are people trying to say Denise Huxtable is not black?

Lady in the advertisement in OP is definitely black as are her children. Not sure what the argument is here to be honest. Thats a black family.

Folks have a limited scope if they think only dark, dark skinned people can be considered black though. Cut out the divisiveness. Next thing redbones ain't gonna be considered "black enough" smfh. We need to stick together!!!!

@wickedsm At least tell Cosby show had a clearly black mother and father as well as 3 out of 5 clearly black children. Sondra wasn't added until I think a few seasons later. Nowadays, it's like only one parent is allowed to be black, usually the father and maybe one child such as My Wife & Kids, Black-ish, too many commercials to be named.

It's extremely rare where they will show a black couple or family.
Tisha Cambell is mixed? :dwillhuh:

And the family in Blackish seems cool, what's the problem with them?

Yall be doing too much sometimes:smh:

I meant the daughters Jennifer Freeman and Parker McKenna Posey. They are biracial. Jennifer has a Spaniard father and Parker has a white mother. Damon and Tisha are both black with 2 biracial children and 1 black son.

Why you assumed I was talking about Tisha when there's two obvious biracial children of the show is pretty ridiculous

They are biracial but it's black people with thier complexion and Tisha Campbell is mixed which equals black.

really? have you read the destruction of black civilization, specifically the chapter on "the mulatto problem"?
are you in an IR relationship yourself?

so no, you have not read any literature regarding mulattos and would rather make emotional assumptions. got it.

LOL people who read the least have the most opinions. carry on b.

That was fast...

went from "have you read this" (btw, he didn't even say he didn't),
and somehow drawing a correlation between that and his assumed relationship status...
to assuming he hadn't read "any literature" on the subject...
to assuming he's a person who "reads the least".

Hmm.

Since when has Tisha been mixed? I never heard of that or does it say anywhere that she is. Her mother looks like a light skin black woman, though I haven't seen pictures of her father. So obviously we know light skin black people exist, I'm one. But light skin black people should not be interchangeable with biracials. Why couldn't those parts go to light skin black kids? Why does the black family have to come off as diverse? I don't recall them doing this for anyone else.

You said this. "Nowadays, it's like only one parent is allowed to be black". But now reading your post again I see

You wouldn't know they were mixed without researching the kids background. They look like black people to me.

That's what I meant by Yall doing too much. Looking for problems with everything.
