so no, you have not read any literature regarding mulattos and would rather make emotional assumptions. got it.
So what exactly would be wrong with being with a mullato since your children will be black? Having black children and raising a black family is what matters, correct? Majority black ancestry should be what matters, right? :mjpls:

edit- i misread what you said.

fair enough point. but what are the percentages of mulattos getting with black spouses, like obama?
I don't know i was just making a general point. There's nothing wrong with getting with a biracial person since your children will be black. Majority black ancestry is what matters :yeshrug:
Also all of the biracial people I've known have been with black people.

not me. i know a biracial (black/puerto rican) who knocked up a white chick and his kid is blond/blue. i strongly doubt the kid gets with a black women, seeing as how his father and grandfather threw them to the bushes...but we'll see...

now that i think about it the other mixed person i know (his mom is biracial, and his dad is white) married a white chick....

really? have you read the destruction of black civilization, specifically the chapter on "the mulatto problem"?
are you in an IR relationship yourself?
Not necessarily disagreeing with you, because I haven't done enough research to do so.... But just because someone writes a book about it doesn't mean everything mentioned in said book is fact. And just because your opinion is "informed" doesn't mean it's fact either... still just an opinion.

And before you ask... I'm black (not biracial) married to a black woman (also not biracial). Well at most I think one of her great grandparents may have been white or biracial. Not 100% sure.

before you formulate your opinion on the matter id suggest reading that specific chapter of the book. otherwise this convo is pointless.

Wouldn't you say it was a class thing? Arab culture was patrilineal, even Europeans so a mulatto born of a white/Arab father was no longer associated with their mothers heritage at all. They carried this on because the mulatto child could move up the ladder, abandoning their mother (sometimes a slave or concubine) all together. They tried that mulatto shyt in the south but it effectively stopped after the Louisiana purchase. The British were pretty uppity and thought they were above blacks even though they procreated with them too.

I was just making a point. Sometimes people believe just because it's in a book, it's the truth. Had no plans on debating the actual topic. Like I said, I'm not informed enough to do so. I'll concede that.

its a historical book (with sources) thats taught at colleges in most aa studies courses. a biz colleague of mine read it at morehouse. i guess since it wasn't written by a white man it should only be taken with a grain of salt...:francis:
