I fukk with this show.

The dry humor, with the visual transitions, the hiphop score, the message always being hammered home every episode was a great way to tie everything together.

The topics were real and typical TL conversations. The BBQ scene with his cousin pitching his movie idea...

:dead:

That episode was brilliant

:laff:

This show is a weird mix of the cosby show and curb your enthusiasm. But it picked up after a couple of episodes.

She's not a bad actress, but to me, her character is just like all of the rest your typical black mom, or black woman characters on TV playing in a main role of the show. The character has no sense of control, in her case, motherhood, she's prissy, still wanna seem young and attached to the youth, wanna be edgy. It's like I've see this character or her character play out so many times when it comes to black shows. She's no different from Issa off Insecure other than being lightskin and close to 40, They both arr literally the same character/person from two different shows. wtf man Interchangeable ass pieces

Clair Huxtable, Florida Evans, Harriet Winslow, Vivian (The dark one) all were different sets of characters for each of their respectable shows.

Jojo, this character fits your typical black character, black woman character that's on these TV shows nowadays. All black moms are not like her in real life

Someone tell me I'm wrong and just overreacting
You're wrong and overreacting. Also, Claire Huxtable, Harriet Winslow and Aunt Viv were all the same character :yeshrug:

Aww the strawman wont work here, however I will "school" you on African American history to show your statement is absolutely false.

Kenya is African american and his wife is biracial. So in simply context you"ll say " his kids are 75%" when that's false too I'll explain.

His wife is biracial but a DNA test would show his wife is more white then black, probably only 45%black max!!

And kenya is ADOS and most AA's are anywhere from 10-30% white, stated by top genealogist Henry louis gates vid posted below

His wife is biracial but because african americans are not 100% black and she has a white parent, her biracial percentage would lean toward the white side

Timestamp 48:40 min mark

So If he kenya is about 80-85% black and 15% white and his wife is about 45% black, 55% white and minimum those kids would only be about 68ish % black, which is why if you seen his kids in real life they look closer to biracial then they do to someone who would be in admixture range of a AA..so no his kid are not 75% black

And being half black does not mean your black, this is not the one drop rule, and white people dont get to decide who is black.

Biracial means=biracial...

A DNA test would show biracial

Stop with the juelzing, you don't get to decide who is black either :yeshrug:

Hmmm . . . that's interesting. Why do you say it makes sense?
I liked it but didn't love it.
a lot of people are very 50/50 on it because of the last third of the movie. I was enjoying it until it got to the horse part. My dad loves it. there's still a lot of discussion about it among black film buffs
