part of me thinks they did this not only because of the Kenya fallout but because the other black sitcoms were failing
they obviously had an initiative that started with buying up the other popular old black sitcoms and then create an assortment of shows that would eventually replace those shows
it sucks though this show was good

What other black sitcoms did they produce? Were they any good?

In Dallas, From Cleveland

I haven't watched them yet but the Jamie Foxx show is canceled and there's no word on the Upshaws yet
.Jamie Foxx-Led Sitcom Dad Stop Embarrassing Me Canceled at Netflix.2 days ago

Upshaws should get renewed, it was a easy and funny watch. I only made through 2 episodes of the Jaime Foxx show, I bushed it and never looked back

I wanted a season 2 of #BlackAF, i liked it better than those blackish spinoffs other than Grownish. Burris seems to be at fork in a road now that people are burnt out on the "Ish" shows but he has talent so I hope he produces something good soon

Said it in another thread, but the hate this show got was completely unwarranted. It's one thing to seek diversity in representation, but it's something completely different to think that a show isn't up to par because it doesn't resemble your family/personal take on Blackness. The show was also dope because it married both race AND class. The latter was a nice touch because of the economic based cultural nuances they trafficked in to the plot.

I hope they at least follow through with the movies. Might as well run season one back for fukkery's sake. :ehh:

Glad it didn't get a season 2, the show was trash and he is a bad actor imo.
