Trash. Tired of seeing mixed people represent black people on television and movies. Y’all love this vanilla black shytX

In one respect, honestly on a lower scale this show can easily be my family although my wife an kids are all black "ADOS" I'm the only darkskin/Brownskin one in the house an people think my wife is half white "she's not" but alot of situations are realistic that I see in this show

But there is a huge problem with black representation being represented by a black family with 2 black family that look like the majority of ADOS families are not represented

If they are mixed Black they're Black I thought? :patrice:

No....the biracial but not just black there is a difference

He walked around America looking Black his entire life. How is that a different life experience?

cause AA and African are looked at differently ... especially by the AA..

they'll call you black but once they find out your from a country they start calling you that

I watched the first 10 minutes and I couldn’t get past his voice, annoying af. I’ll try to give it another shot but I wish he hired an actual actor to play him

He definitely takes some getting used to but once you do, he’s hilarious.

Yea he’s annoying AF :mjlol:

But I feel like that he’s doing it on purpose. He’s kinda playing a dame dash like character it’s easy to hate but pretty entertaining and you realize he’s making sense even though he might come off as rude or weird

Pretty much..

OK is everyone in the African Diaspora considered Black generally speaking? Not by African Americans but by everyone?

thats a topic to a different debate. for some AA its more than just Africans thats why i said when yo from a country.. its anything..
No it's for this topic. We are defining who can rep Blacks on TV. An African doesn't? Someone half Black doesn't? Someone Jamaican doesn't? I think all I mentioned do. Would love to hear why not.

i never said they dont represent black. you asked about how folks see obama ... and my answer applies.. thats how people see it.

when it comes to THIS show it doesnt matter because he WANTS mixed people to play his mixed family. This show is not "fake" therefore the cast represents what the creator is trying to portray which is HIS REAL family. I posted a pic of them earlier and its good casting for that

now if we talking a different show then yes, i agree with you but theres alot of "mixed" people who are dark..

im not against you its just not as simple
