I want real unity, not symbolism though. I want things that will last not something that was a response to tragedy because if prior actions so terrible as the last week had to happen for you to understand how brothers/sisters have been feeling it isn't going to last. This is kind of like when families come together when someone gets sick and act like they love each other and they got each others backs only to keep it up for a week before the calls checking up on each other slowly fall off and they start whispering about each other behind their loved ones backs.

Don't only love me when I'm getting beat down or being used as a shield, love me when I extend my love to you, be cordial when I'm cordial with you, respect me as I respect you at all times not just when my life is at risk, simply put love me throughout the day not just during parts of it.

Sidenote:

I do agree with the sentiment and encourage it among our younger boys and kids, they need to know love and experience it within our group so they can thrive and not grow up with hatred.
True spit :noah:
The everyday is tough but sometimes it takes a tragedy to put everything back into perspective again. Hopefully this healing of the black man/woman is permanent. Like I said, we ain't going anywhere.

pretty nice, you'll be surprised how a simple gesture of affection can make somebody feel.... BM and BW need to get along better, im guilty of being a a$$hole to BW purposely, as some sort of revenge .... but im off that, im a gentlemen now, I try to be nice, even if i dont get it back, ill still do it anyway...im really polite to brothers also....im secure with myself and don't have to don't the ego thing anymore ....

but this might attracted creeps....because if a woman hug me too long I might get hard, because when they get too close something in me activates, something dark.....that lust demon start to make his entrance in my mind....and I have to walk always and get soft before they notice

but we need to respect each other tho .....bm and bw...esp the american ones...we know each other well...every black community is the same....u could be from NY and meet a breh in cali , and yall will be cool within 5 mins

Do you feel like black women don't support y'all?

Nah history proves black women supported us even when black men didn't give them our full support, I'm speaking more on how symbolic actions with no actual commitment can be more detrimental than helpful.

See this women, her name is Ruby Doris Robinson, She carried The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, it was not started by her but her actions when she joined put her at the forefront of that group she attained the position of Executive Secretary(a position previously only held by black males), it was headed by black men(meaning they were at the forefront but it was started by ella baker) but they didn't work as hard as her but received most of the credit. She originally avoided the group because they did a little to much talking and she was more about action. I can't do her justice with a such a short post, I will say she committed her life to freeing our people and it killed her, she died at 25 in I can't help but think had she avoided this particular group and worked so hard while others slacked she may have lived much longer, here is a quote from her co-worker which also details her final years.

In January 1967, her health began to decline precipitously around the same time as the splintering of SNCC, and she was admitted to a hospital. She suffered for ten months from a rare blood disease, and in April of that year she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.[15] She died on October 7, 1967, aged 25.[4] One of her co-workers claimed, "She died of exhaustion…she was destroyed by the movement."

Knowing what I know I can't ever open my mouth to say black women haven't been supportive, too much spilled blood to make that claim.

Notice how she said 'SOME' black men......... :aicmon:

I'll quote myself, "Women, especially black women, are too hypergamous for this to be useful... 80% of women would be giving hugs to only 20% of men......."....
:ohhh: i missed that part, I agree with the rest of your post. All women want the best men available, average aint good enough
