No one wants to acknowledge the fact that they aren’t conventionally attractive, and no one wants to tell their daughter or sister “well, you know you don’t look like THAT so you can’t expect this type of man or that type of man” etc. So you have girls out here thinking that they should get the fly dudes everyone wants, like the guys who are average but say “dime or nothing”.
If no one keeps it real, or if you don’t pick up the clues along the way, you start asking the world why you can’t lock down a basketball player or something when you’re a size 16 with a horrible sense of style.
My entire crew always got wined and dined so I thought it was normal. I didn’t know chicks were out here eating in strange men’s homes and having sex after eating chicken tenders
I thought that shyt was a joke.
But what some don’t understand is that they are judging men the way y’all judge us. As a woman, my chief concern is how a man regards/treats me. If I bump into a fly dude who tries to play games, to me that means he thinks I’m mid/someone he wouldn’t take seriously. So I’M OUT. Some women make the mistake of thinking that because that fly dude is in their face it means he’s sincere. If the actions don’t back it up, it’s worthless.
That being said, if you actually know where you stand or are willing to put the work in, this is probably the easiest time to date. So many ppl out here with no self-awareness…

Someone on here called it “the light skin stimulus”, and that shyt is real. In our community light skin is the beauty standard. That’s why people make a big deal about “bad dark skin” chicks- they don’t expect dark skinned women to be dimes.

An “average” light skinned woman is still light, so there will be men who don’t think as negatively about her looks because of her complexion. An “average” dark skinned woman is damn near invisible. And forget being unattractive.
This chick is an average dark skinned woman who will receive less attention and courtship opportunities than women who are lighter than her. Plus she’s playing it wrong if she’s still having casual sex AND talking about that shyt on social media
I do think light skin privilege is a thing with average to below average looking chicks. Like if two women are both 5’s and the same body type I think many guys would just go for light skin girl.
But once you hit 7 and above it don’t matter. Also this girl wants pity. You ran to the internet and told the world you are basically not wanted. What successful man who has options will go out his way to scoop up a chick fishing for pity and compliments on YouTube? This ain’t a Disney movie.
Is she nurturing? Pleasant to be around? Positive spirit? Is she an asset? Right now she’s just a female version of eeyore that sad ass donkey from Winnie the Pooh. Lol
And that’s why it makes sense on the surface. Because a rich man already knows that whatever woman he ends up with automatically benefits from the life he can provide, so if ALL women know that’s a benefit from being with him, he can be a little choosier. His pool is larger.
An attractive woman hopefully understands that ALL men would prefer to have a beautiful wife than an unattractive one. Whatever man she ends up with, he gets to see that pleasant face cleaning his house, cooking his meals, giving his children that pretty face, and he gets to stare at that pretty face as they make love. We aren’t going to downplay how important looks are or how they are valued by society. So that means she can be a little choosier. Her pool is larger.
No money and looks aren’t everything, but if you have them and everyone around you wants what you have you better make sure you’re getting what you want and need as well.

shyt one of my homies old lady got tired of not being able to meet single black men in san diego. So what she do? Some of her friends she had in atlanta had met their husbands at AKA / Kappa meet and greet conferences. So she says fukk this shyt I am going to every AKA / Kappa meet and greet and finding me a man. Like twice a year they had a conference on the east coast she went to them for about 2 years. Met my homie at one...they started dating and 3 years later got married.
Couldn't even hate. Gave that sista props for thinking outside the box and going out to get what she wanted.

I agree. The point is though, how many women are 7 and above? NOT MANY, which is why they are considered 7+. So that means majority of dark skinned women, who are average (like majority of light skinned women are), will be considered less than the majority of light skinned women.
So what I said still stands. LOL
It’s not a problem for the beautiful brown/dark skinned girls because if brehs aren’t treating them how they want to be treated they are the ones who can def get that top tier treatment if they go outside the ethnicity or race.

I don’t know why we have to play obtuse. In Indian culture, light skin is coveted, too. So much so that skin bleaching is a big thing there. East Asian cultures are big on lighter skin as well. Korean skin care is AMAZING, but check those products and ads, too. They lighten their skin as well to get closer to that standard.
It’s not just us, but it includes us.
