It completely strips you of your natural oils and dirt. It burns a tiny bit too. After your done your skin will be dry as fukk but it will be so damn clean :wow: compared to some face washes that will dry ya skin and still live dirty and clogged.

As far as oil goes, ask beloved @Elle Driver.

Hmmm...sounds like it does a thorough job. Going to try it out.

Thanks :obama:

Peace

Great thread!

So, black soap for the face? I've heard of black soap but never paid much attention. Going to pick some up today after work...was looking for a proper facial cleanser anyway.

I like the information for hair treatment as well. I've used regular shampoo all my life and it seems to dry out my hair. Especially my beard when used alone. Using vinegar and oils may do the trick.

:obama:...good stuff, people. Not to mention, this is an industry that should and can be locked down by black-owned business...just a thought.

Peace
Black soap is great for clearing up your face, and making it smooth but you gotta be careful with it, because some brands are really harsh and will damage your face if you scrub too hard or leave it on too long. They have acidic ingredients like lemon juice and etc in them.

One day I decided I was gonna lather up the black soap first and shampoo my hair before I rinsed off the black soap :sadcam:, never again. The black soap stay on my body for too long and irritated my skin bad. This was right before bed too, to my skin was burning all night dude. But I use shea butter as a mosturizer and after two days when the irritation stopped my skin was so smooth and nice feeling. Some girl told me the burning means the soap was working on my skin and causing the skin cells to die and regenerate quickly and the shea butter only helped that process. But still I rather not experience that again.

I use coconut oil for my skin, hair and on my face. Its keeps my skin super moisturized. On my dikk I use shea butter, I like a smooth head and shaft and this keeps my dikk from getting ashy despite how much I use my dikk and shields it from acidic punani juice

I use black soap to clean my face and shea butter as a moisturizer

What's the best shampoos and hair moisturizers to use? Right now I'm using creme of nature shampoo and just rubbing some coconut oil in but I just looked up the ingredients on the creme of nature and some of it is looking kinda :merchant:
lol you pretty much got the same set up as me but i use cocoa instead of shea. might need to experiment with that though. :patrice:

So be careful with the black soap, huh? :lupe:

Sounds like the best thing to do is lather up with the black soap and rinse it off right away like any other cleanser. Am I right?

Peace

Dont buy that Shea moisture crap too.
Basically dont buy the commercialised normal soap looking bars, they contain all kinda bullshyt aint the true thing.

Buy the raw ashy looking ish such as Dudu Osun(Nigerian) or the Ghanian brands, with tend to be more delicate to skin, as they dont usally include lime juice like Dudu! Cant go wrong with any tbh, as they both are the true versions.
