LMAO This muthafucca said this about a league where Buddy Ryan's two sons still coach and underachieve...
This guy's defenses give up 30+ pts like it's their job

Same reason the Raiders moved on from JaMarcus Russell, same reason the Eagles never stayed with Vince. He was probably the best college QB of all-time but in the pros, he was just another Doug Flutie.

1. The Raiders moved on from JaMarcus Russell to damn ANDREW WALTER. On purpose.
2. Doug Flutie still got to start in the NFL for quite a lot longer than other black QBs mentioned in this thread.
3. Vince Young never played for the Eagles.

I guess you missed my point - if he goes 8-8 with the "unpopular" black QB and misses the playoffs he puts himself at more risk of losing his job then if he sticks with the more "likable" white QB and goes 6-10. The narratives will say that the black QB stifled their ability to make the playoffs or that the white QB "needs more time" or didn't have enough help. Since it's not just about wins and losses, he will probably choose option 2 and keep his job and that's exactly what these statistics convey.

If that's the case then Tebow would have gotten another starting job just to sell tickets

A nfl coach has no life his whole life 24/7 is concentrated on his team he's not paying attention to what some a$$holes on sportsradio want for the qb

Hmmmm...

He also was on the Packers for a time, btw.

Here's the best I can do to break this down.....

There's a very high turnover rate of QBs in the league (and really all positions with a 3.5 year career average). Of all 32 starting QBs, at any given time there are only 5-8 elite ones. The smaller (but growing) number of black starting QBs combined with the innate high turnover of the position will in turn create a higher proportion of black QBs being benched, than non-black QBs. You don't even need to do a big fact check to understand this point.

This is the most clear way I can describe it, and there's nothing diabolic about it. I hope nobody puts aside their dreams of being an NFL quarterback due to this hack economists biased report.

Word? After Vince almost got that godawful team to the playoffs?
He gets benched for Kerry Collins?

Fucc outta here...

They went 13-3 with Collins. I'm not a fan of his but Fisher watched these guys everyday in practice so perhaps just perhaps he knows more about who's better for the job then you? And with the directions Youngs career took Fisher was proven right

I know the cooler narrative is fishers burning crosses on his lawn and hates black people so he started Collins but I doubt it's the truth

Playing the race card again. Listen, white qbs are just mentally more in tune with the game. They are students of the game and the position is just more natural for them. Blacks are athletic and can make great plays but they play a lot of backyard football. Too many bad decisions since they can't play from the pocket and have trouble reading defendes. I'm tired of these outcries. Whites are just more polished at the position and the stats show. Facts are facts.

Too small of a sample size to take this seriously. How many black QBs outside of Russell Wilson and Cam have played well enough not to be benched in the last few years? It has less to do with color and more to do with individual talent and the situation they're in. RG3 was always gonna get benched for instance, we understand that.

This ends the debate.

What's the end game for these white dudes in here defending this blatant double standard? Like seriously....we are asking for fairness by exposing facts yet you dudes still need convincing as if admitting to it comes at the expense of who you are as a person. To behave like that really shows that you know it comes at the expense of your shared white privilege.
