IYKYK both are knee deep in the trenches, and it was even worse before they knocked down the projects literally across the street from Beasley. I also saw too many Black people get roasted for their clothes going all the way back to elementary school, even though not everyone can afford to wear daily name brands

This is definitely one of the biggest lies I’ve ever heard. Socially awkward dweebs get teased across every ethnic group but smart people that get good grades are usually among the most popular people. My boy is a pharmacist, always got good grades, didn’t get into trouble, and he was the HC King.

I was a hell raiser that got horrible grades in the 9th and 10th grade and people avoided me. That was the case for most of the guys that I ran with at that time too. When I got my act together, the chicks start gravitating towards me, I made more friends, and the coaches encouraged me to play sports.

Kind of agree with OP.

Listened to rock growing up, made good grades, and anime. Of course it was pointed out by my peers but never not once was I made fun of and felt like I didn’t fit nor was part of the black community.

People who make it a point usually try to make those things their identity to feel “different” and are very much white adjacent and 9/10 have a superior mentally to what they feel black culture is. That isn’t talked about enough.
