White folks did not become empowered because they simply called themselves white and had the naturalization act of 1790. They got there with weaponry and military strategy, coupled with a economy they created on the back of free labor during slavery. And THAT IS IT! All this idea that somehow law gained them access to empowerment is foolish. They created laws AFTER they took land by force, not before, all they had before was legislation like the papel bulls that made permissible to take the lands by force based on religious dogma. You either going to strap up and take the land, or go get your own shyt.
Now with that said, that is not me saying we shouldn't fight for our rights in the land we currently reside, we deserve equality and proper treatment under the law, but what I am against is this notion we suffering cause we called ourselves something, and we stay suffering because of that. We had indigenous african identity when they came and got us. We weren't black negro or colored then, we were ifa, wagadu, wolof, igbo, akan, etc. Didn't stop them from taking us and subjecting us to 2nd class citizenship, and it didn't stop them from colonizing the nation's within africa itself. We could call ourselves the goonie goon goon people and it won't change 1 bit what our status here in america.
you get your own schools, you get banks, you get industries, you get hospitals, you create your own means to communicate and independent means to feed and clothe yourself, you create your own defense and military strategy. That is what changes your status. You post as if we haven't been spending nothing but the past 500 plus years trying to change things from "within" we have played ball every step of the way. The results are what they are.
