But people aren’t living there for a reason. It may have resources that are useful to modern society in other continents but obviously not enough resources to maintain a primitive civilization

Resources =/= Habitability

So do they not take resources from Africa and the middle East to bring back here. The lifestyle of the USA cannot be sustained on this land.

We take resources from those places mostly...shyt...because they can.

The very location of this land mass is a resource ie., when was the last time our country was militarily attacked?

We have land and water for days. We have oil, wind, and sun light.

We have inhabitable temperate zones where we can raise agriculture.

We have salt and minerals.

We have plenty coastline for fishing and navy.

We take from those countries because we can. If those countries shut us out their resources (of course the country would destabilize them first) but America has the tech to be fine.
