Well, tbh I think both parties care mostly about rich white people. Dems just offer the appearance of caring for minorities and poor people.

I'd rather have the appearance of caring than put people in power who literally don't care. Every time a Republican majority gets into power EVERYONE who isn't rich suffers. Poor whites might be the dumbest people on the planet because they continue to vote republican despite they fact that most republicans hate their asses too.

Why? What has the Republican party done in the last 50 years that would warrant black support? If anything they have displayed nothing but contempt for black people for the last 50 years and used as fodder to motivate their base.

There is a reason why most minorities of every economic stripe vote overwhelmingly Democratic. Even so-called model minorities like Asians and Jews. The Republican party hostility towards those they consider "others" is just a turn off to even those minorities who are socially or even economically conservative.

Maybe it they changed their tone, but that won't happen anytime soon. Too many yokels still make up the base of the Republican party.

Undying loyalty to the Democratic party has not brought about any meaningful advancement for blacks in America... Seriously entertaining our other options should definitely be on the table.
