It's not groundbreaking, it just does what it does very well. The professional media, and gamers as well, have loved it. It has gotten pretty much unanimous priase
it was worthy of GOTY. But the Wukong team thinks they got snubbed, which is hilarious. Bc even if Astro didn't win, Wukong isnt even the second best game that was nominated
If anything, the FF7 Rebirth team should be salty. GOTY was theirs until this game came out not that long ago. And ofc, Refantazio is better than Wukong as well, so it's not like they were gonna win anyway
