The apathy is a result of too many men not prepared for service based industries and feeling a need to confront systems and spaces where they view women who have made those adjustments and erect spaces that benefit that them with contempt.

It has a lot to do with this. That apathy is result of it, and rising COL being planets ahead of wage growth.

I honestly dont know because the barriers that are being created to fix are problems are outpacing the tools to fix them.

The only thing I see at the moment that can kill the black male malaise are what someone said earlier about more Black teachers, especially Black male teachers.

No country does a better job of tearing down the self esteem of black boys more than the U.S. The poverty of positive expectations remains on empty.

Maybe Kai Cenat, Druski and Speed (I feel knowing these young bul's names) can do a Weekend Readoff Challenge.....put the "act" in front of their fan's faces......12 hours straight of reading novels, textbooks, news articles, random stuff or something like that. Kevin Hart and other celebrities can stop by and just cotdamn read. They can joke around. Then share what they learned.

If their fans will literally watch them sleep, will they watch them cotdamn read?

Might sound corny. But entire school systems of 11th and 12th graders reading on a 6th grade level is way cornier and goofier.

The main solution I feel best about is changing the way kids attend school, rework the nations curriculum to create more thought provoking well rounded students , also parent proof the schools

But this will take cooperation amongst parents teachers gov etc.

But I’m sure there is many solutions and ways to make it better but again that takes cooperation

@ViShawn how do you feel we can help black men adjust?

It starts at the BEGINNING. Being actively involved in their lives at every stage because we're lagging at every stage.

It will take concerted effort. Other communities go to school and teach their own curriculum.

I've sort of thought that if America had guaranteed jobs ala The New Deal we'd be in a better spot. Boys can make a gold quality of life, have good Healthcare and forge their own way in life. Obviously not possible in a capitalistic society now so I think we have to pour economic capital into these efforts.

I know this is about college but lack of trades really fukked us over too because most Black Men work blue collar jobs. We need more vocational training
