Well what has happened since then? Are African countries now powerhouses? No their some of the richest countries in terms of natural resources and some of the poorest in terms of quality of life. So the black man doesn't provide. Does the black man protect? No terrorists kidnapping girls that still haven't been recovered. Unarmed black men getting gunned down in the street by racist white devils then they get rich and we can't stop it. 500 years later and we still can't get the white mans boot off our throats. That's what's happening now and nobody respects victims nobody respects losers.

So who would you trust then? The motherfukker with their boot on your neck? Maybe, but I don't see how you can categorically dismiss any group.

Somebody sell me on a black patriarchy. What can we provide black women? Protection? Name a competent black army that can keep the Arab man and white mans boots off our necks. Name me an independent black prosperous country that doesn't depend on a white countries army to protect it or aid it.

At the beginning of mean streets
Self-referential and unsubstantiated BS.

I know how the family court system works (I'm a lawyer) and I can tell you that it's not that the mothers are "better educated", etc. The system is inherently biased against men. Call it a reformed system that practices judicial activism. The system used to unabashedly favor men but over the last 50 years, the courts have engaged in judicial activism to make up for its history of bias in favor of men. Hence, courts bend-over backwards to rule in favor of women under the guise of the "best interests of the child" standard.

I mean, think about it, if a woman was "better educated" and able to provide for their children, why would the courts demand men to pay alimony and child support over 85% of the time? If the women are "better suited for parenting", why do so many of them rely on government assistance.

Do the knowledge and stop spewing hackneyed (and fundamentally incorrect) nonsense.
I actually agree with this. My only disagreement was with public assistance.

I wouldn't trust anyone that's the point that's where the black women's mindframe is coming from she doesn't believe we are dependable hence she strives to be independent.

So why did the women in Africa, Asia, Latin America not turn to matriarchy?

So she thinks she's better off on her own? Maybe she is. I just wish she'd stop complaining about the fallout of that decision and conversely playing both sides of the fence. On that note, I don't feel like black women share this ideology and if so some do certainly not all

What privilege? Honestly please explain. Within society black men have very little privilege. Few do but definitely not ALL which is what privilege means, all of the stated people benefit in some way. In what ways do black men have privilege in the black community? Men and women appear to succeed at the same rates. Are we taking about not having to be worried about being catcalled? Freedoms from gender stereotypes and discrimination? I don't know, I think black men's gender affects them in ways white males and black females will never understand or have to endure. As a black female people may follow me around a store, but I have yet to be pulled over thrown against the hood of a squad car for fitting the description, or pulled over at gunpoint for a minor traffic violation. Do you mean they have the freedom to walk down the street without worrying about sexual harassment! Maybe so, but they absolutely do not have the same freedom and other males. A black man walking alone is looked at with more suspicion and in my opinion is in danger walking by himself because again people/cops see black men alone as dangerous bogey men .
you keep speaking about it in relation to whiteness.you're regurgitating a bunch of things that have already been stated. im asking you do you NOT think black men are privileged in their own community? do they have power in their OWN community?

if anyone should be pissed about it it shouldve been you guys, that kind of thinking will leave many men in the dust.

and yet many BW use it to attack "black male patriarchy" so "We wont discuss who is oppressed more" isn't true, BW do all the time.
what is Black Male Patriarchy? like seriously.
we have a whole thead denying its existance while simultaneously stating we need to return to patriarchy.
how can we have a patriarchy when we dont have traditional gender roles in our community?
