Thats a bad comparison to since us is a developed nation and Nigeria is not. For what ever reason yall are offended (for what ever reason) while i see stats like as proof that the "asian model minority " thing is a joke and blacks arent just stereotypical lazy poor etc. Etc.

Actually that is an excellent comparison, because Black people in America lived in a segregated society just up until 47 years ago and the public school system where the majority of African Americans attended were not even funded in most cases. And even after the end of segregation African Americans school systems were grossly underfunded and in most cases ill equipped to educate African American children; to the point that States and the Federal government had to mandate that African American children be bused to white school districts in order to get the same quality of education as white students in America; or in the alternative schools in Black neighborhoods at or near the same levels. So African Americans were living in Third World circumstance right here in the USA just up until 47 years ago, which is comparable to the time that most African nations received their independence.

You don't want to use that, because you know what you are going to find. African American literacy rates are much higher than people have been lead to believe. And African American children are even closing the gap on their White peers in this Country, which is a point that no one is even talking about. Hell even the thugs in our Country can read and write.

The comparison is again bad because Nigeria and the US are two totally different nations in history, politics, and culture

What I always find interesting is that the people are trying to make it a badge of honor that someone has to immigrate from their country to another country to be educated. In my way of thinking that is actually an indictment of your home country, because it shows that they are so inept that they cannot even educate their own populous.

It is also funny to me that White people in the USA always take the time sling mud at Black people in the USA at any opportunity that they get. Now I am not a player, but it seems like White people in the USA spend an inordinate amount of time playa hating on African Americans. What is that all about if it not just straight up jealousy about something?

You are getting dumber and dumber in every post and you are showing your lack of knowledge about the living conditions and economics of African Americans in the USA during the 1960's and 1970's. African Americans didn't have a higher standard of living than most people in the African nations during the 1960's and 1970's. Did you ever visit the Southern USA in the 1960's and 1970's, which is were most African Americans roots are from? Most Black people in the Southern USA were living in shacks and many of them didn't even have indoor plumbing during that time; which is comparable to the situation that many Africans lived in on the continent. Many more Black people in the USA were living in housing projects are or in run down neighborhoods all over the USA due to stuff like red lining after many of them had migrated from the South.

African Americans situation didn't improve economically until the late 70's and 80's when a bunch of cases came down prohibiting discrimination in employment, education and housing. Oddly enough that is when a great deal of the Black middle class abandoned our cities.

African Americans are not threatened by immigrants. Immigrants just have no idea of what African Americans had to go through in order for an immigrant to even be in the USA. It was a long hard fight. Immigrants can enjoy the fruits of a fight that they didn't have to engage in, but what they will find out after they are in the USA for a while is what the White people in this Country actually think of them. That is the day that immigrants will see with their own eyes what African Americans already know.

There is a HUGE and growing Brazilian population in Orlando. I never see a darkskinned Brazilian among them.
