Like I said I get why they are mad at us sometimes. Most people from the old country are racist to every single ethnic subgroup that isnt theirs, even among indians. To them, I'm not surprised why they're aggy at people coming into their native country and then receiving better treatment from colonial powers than they did. That's fine, I can understand that pain. I can even understand @2Quik4UHoes need to talk up African success in the Indian subcontinent, cus thats how pride works. What I can't cosign with is the tone and lack of acknowledgement and respect they use when discussing my people, as any reasonable man would. You will never see me or you make the sort of socially judgmental threads people make about India about Africa. You will never see me highlighting aspects of African culture and calling them backward, oppressive, or barbaric.

That's why @The Real is one of the few guys I really respect on this board, because no matter the situation he can mentally walk in another man's shoes. Instead of judging, he learns and listens.

lol, well the thread is about African success in India. Siddis are hardly known but have a remarkable history, so yeah I take pride in it. All jokes aside I love Indian culture yall put my people on to Chai and all types of spices thousands of years before this new "Stan anything from India" wave. :ehh:

Word, I could easily have gone into that thread about Nigerians making human hamburgers and popped shyt but shyt like that is pointless. But you know every now and then you'll have a thread about some backwards shyt that went down in India and people will pile on with the India is a shythole comments :beli:

And regarding Indian attitudes towards blacks, the same people making those observations love to bring you the caste system. If Indians can't even treat each other right why the fukk they expect Africans to get treated any different? People love to bring up the caste system when they don't know anything about it. Half these clowns actually believe all Brahmins have light skin :snoop:

The problem with a lot of blacks, especially AAs, my Indian Coli breh, is that they believe their situation to be unique, like there weren't coolies, Slavs, and lower class/slave class people in all societies. Sh*t even blacks had black slaves. A lot of blacks/AA believe that they and only they experience oppression/repression/atrocities when it happens and has happened everywhere in the world and in history as well. Props to you and your family breh, on the real :salute: and hope that we as blacks here in the States can continue to emulate and achieve similar successes :obama:
:salute: I'm not gonna compare myself or my peoples struggles to blacks, but I just think that I have the right to paint the picture from my side.

:myman: I actually didn't call you out earlier with my first post because I know you're not one of these supremacist dudes. I just kinda reached a tipping point with some of the shyt people say about my people on here, no disrespect to you and yours of course. You're ethopian right? I love y'all food and clothes. It's like looking at a different side of a coin sometimes.

I know the difference, and the circumstances are not the same..... But what we're basically doing is looking at how a community develops in a foreign land right?
you know I have to talk slick. But I don't have an issue with Indian pride. I troll in shyt but I would be more disgusted if you and @GetInTheTruck didn't respond the way you do.

lol, I didn't make real money til I started fukking with offshore models.:banderas: my sons name is Kiran (with some added fukkery that would have my black card removed) cuz of his mom. I'm drinking tea as we type. Obviously one of the most fascinating ancient cultures is India. One of my business partners is Indian- which is better than a cac or black one, cuz yall stick together so tough that we can basically just walk into companies and get shyt.

I don't have any issue.. except how you guys act in places like SA , other parts of Africa and America. Some of you buy into crakerology and diss both other Indians and Blacks.

I don't expect people to be knowledgeable or to know the particulars of what we have been through as a people. What I expect is for people to at least try and not hate groups of people off the jump. For the most part, it's not that bad except for dumb random posters and trolls like 88m3.

Maannnn i took my girl to get ethopian last week and we had this exact same discussion about food. what's crazy to me is the format of our meals, we both basically eat things the same like you said. Injera= nan etc...

India's actually interesting re: weed because traditionally we don't really have a viticulture. We've been mostly just getting high for a min until very recently.

Like I said I know a :troll: when I see one. I ain't mad atcha, we've conversed enough to know where we stand w/each other . Kiran's a good name. I posted what I posted just to stunt on some of the more random posters in HL and help them understand my and @GetInTheTruck's struggles... And I agree w/ you. A lot of indians buy hard into the pan-aryan thing hardcore for a number of reasons... I think it's interesting but i'm not gonna draw pride from it :heh:

Breh, Naan is good as fukk! I had some at an East Indian restaurant, yall food is good as hell. You're right tho, everything is eerily similar. Its pretty cool to see the past in present cuisine.

As far as I know, ganja was some shaivism type shyt but I don't know too much about India so it wouldn't shock me if everyone was high. I know hash was the thing to do in that region for a long time tho.

They don't play with drugs in India if you get caught you're fukked. Those wandering ascetics you see smoking weed and shyt do whatever the fukk they want though Lol.

It's on my bucket list to smoke with them and talk about mystical shyt. I just don't want them to be on some ass nekked shyt although that seems unavoidable. :ld:

Ethiopia is the same way with drugs but you can find poppy fields and weed plants in the countryside. Only place you can smoke like that is in Shashamane where the Rastas are but even there it's iffy cuz some cops don't give a fukk and will fukk you up for bribe money.

I like that y'all aint p*ssy about flavor.. both in terms of peppers and spices. There's something very satisfying and comforting about the way our peoples eat. Picking up food with your hands, feeling it gives you that extra element of texture and sense. Mixing and matching combinations of dishes on bread to make little sandwiches that give you different tastes of everything. It may not be 'high class', but it feels right to me.

Yes a lot of indian religious traditions use cannabis as an entheogen. My pops used to smoke over there like a madman when he was younger and some people have explained it to me that use is really high, but its kinda hush hush, enforcement is inconsistent. Federally speaking, it's not considered an 'issue' like it is here.

Lol when I was just over there I was eating with a fork and my uncle was like "you must eat with the hand then only you will get the real taste" :russ:
